Can these bags be zipped together? If not, are there any suggestions for other similar bags that do zip together.

To add to what John suggested, these bags would not zip together in a way that would be workable as a single bed-type unit. The zippers only open up to the hip, and from everything I've looked at the zipper is on one side only.

When you mate sleeping bags, one has to be left zip, the other right zip, as well as the same zipper gauge (not a problem when you are buying 2 of the same bag). I am giving you this bag as an example of what to look for as far as left/Right zip. http://www.backcountry.com/store/MTB0052/MontBell-Super-Stretch-Burrow-1-Sleeping-Bag-15-Degree-Synthetic.html As far as similar bags, it's best that you do your homework. You best know what you want in a bag and in the end you'll be more informed about your purchase.
