Mountain Tough??...Would it be advisable to purchase this jacket for mountaineering and climbing purposes? Could it handle the tougher and potentially more abrasive activities if I took care of it or should I look at something like the Escape or the Terra? It's a baller sale. Thanks for the help.

Victor. This is a Gore Paclite jacket that would probably suit you well for your needs... especially if you take care of it. The Escape shell fabric would probably not be as durable as the fabric on the Typhoon although that is a guess and not from testing. The shell fabric on the Terra Shell is a 20D nylon shell that is one of the lightest and most breathable that we use. So, if it is between the Escape, Terra, and the Typhoon... I would pick up a Typhoon. Hope this info helps!
