Question about the sizing. I am 10/12 (more 10 than 12), would an M or an L be a better fit? I'd like them to fit comfortably, not too baggy, though.

You indeed seem to be right between sizes. These pants are not especially fitted, so the medium may work out. To be safe, I'd measure your actual waist and compare to the sizing chart. If your waist is over 29.5", I'd go with the large.
