I have both jackets. One Pneumatic and two Bionic. The Pneumatic is much lighter. It provides more flexability and range of motion while the Bionic is much more insulated and intended for weather protection. I primarily use the Pneumatic for running in the spring and fall here in the Northwest.

the difference is that this is kind of a stretchy, lightweight, aerobic jacket that does not offer much protection form the elements. the Apex bionic is a Fully windproof and nearly waterproof outer shell...the Pneumatic is lighter and more breathable, Bionic is warmer and more protective
