Write your question here...hello, looking at the heritage deluxe kayak...first one...intended use for going across a nearby lake that would be a couple of miles across...and that's at the shortest route...would like to eventually go around the lake as i get stronger. Maybe would take it camping and boating on a larger body of water in Ky...it is a relativlily calm lake. any suggestions for this first timer...?...I know should start smaller, for beginner...but enjoy this on vactions...and plan to make this part of my fitness routine. Thanks!

Well the recommended use for this kayak is Lakes, calm rivers, calm ocean water, touring, fishing. What your doing is basically going to be beginner touring and moving your way up. This boat will be perfect for you for starting out and making that transition to a more experienced kayak user.
