Has the power to break through ice layers that would break other poles. I like a thicker probe as I can grip it a lot better

Love this one. Super fast & sharp with the hoe feature and the serrated edge & packs down small for its size. It is not the best for smoothing walls in pits but in a rescue situation or building a camp I am thrilled with its performance

Is it dark or light brown? The detail view shows a light color while the initial view is a dark brown??

Hestra Fall Line Glove

January 26, 2010

People keep saying to size up. Is this from other Hestra gloves or from their posted measurements? I have had 4 pairs of Hestras in size ten & all fit exactly the same. Thanks

Black Diamond Ascension Nylon Split STS Climbing Skin

Black Diamond Ascension Nylon Split STS Climbing Skin

Rating for this product: 5 December 20, 2009

I used these on my fat touring ski set up 115mm waist 185cm long BD Justice. I was astonished at how lighter they are & how much better they glide then my old ascensions. They also pack better. I am not sure if it was the ski being rockered or the skins but it was a little more difficult to skin up steeper slopes. That said I have only been out twice on them. Hopefully they will be durable.

Very versatile powder ski. Skis crud well, quick turning, light. Only weak spot would be edge hold on icy groomers. Very stable.
Perfect for the varied conditions of the Pacific Northwest

Sugar Daddy for touring

Atomic Sugar Daddy Alpine Ski

Atomic Sugar Daddy Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 January 22, 2007

I bought this ski in a 173 for AT use and I was worried about it being too short. It is a blast in the pow with great float, super quick, and about as light a ski as I have ever used. My other skis are K2 Seth 179, & Atomic Big Daddy 190. I am 6'1" 215 & this is the best touring ski I have ever had & maybe one of the best skis I've ever owned.
Highly Recomended
