Very comfortable and light. I use it riding MTB and caving. Much lighter than other bike helmets. Kinda expensive though.

Thule Parkway Hitch Bike Carrier - 2 Bike

Thule Parkway Hitch Bike Carrier - 2 Bike

Rating for this product: 3 September 29, 2009

So far works for me 2 weeks. I had no problem w/using it. Few extra rubber bands will help to prevent rattling and sliding along bars. I would recommend to get a long secure cable and a separate weather resistant lock w/dial code for it. IMHO auxilary pin-lock that thule suggests will be trashed by road dirt and you won;'t be able to stick the key in.

Occasional dunk killed it

Garmin Rino 120

Garmin Rino 120

Rating for this product: 4 July 3, 2009

I used this for 5 yrs. This was a 4th occasional dunk. Kayak tipped over in ocean. It is hard to tell how deep it went but dot deeper than 1m as duffle bag was attached to the vessel. The damage affected only the display because the picture still appears once in a while. Don't know if it is worth of a repair. Otherwise it was a great navigation instrument and it took a lot of abuse. RIP. Sometimes it was very slow to obtain a connection w/sats. Display could be brighter and larger. Lanyard is flimzy - needs more heavy duty way of clipping it of, perhaps w/snap bolt. Looking for a better replacement now.

Outdoor Research Bug Bucket Hat

Outdoor Research Bug Bucket Hat

Rating for this product: 4 May 22, 2009

Very convenient - fits in a pocket, lightweight. Visibility is not bad. The net however bothers when not in use - there is no way to fold it while using a hat as for a sun protection only. It also gets caught on scrub but the mesh nylon is pretty strong - i didn't have any holes so far. I'm sensitive to bug bites so it helps me a lot to explore Florida swamps.
