This is my second pair and they keep my hands very warm. The first pair lasted for several years, including 50 days teaching snowboarding on big mountain last year. I wore them out so it was time for a new pair. I like the newer construction better because they removed the elastic band on the back of the hand. However, it could be a bit wider opening to make it easier to go over my coat sleeve.

Arc'teryx Beta SL Jacket - Women's

So far I love it but I have not had much of a chance to use it in the rain yet. It is a great lighweight jacket that stows away in my small day pack and I still have room for another shirt for layering. It fits great and the length is perfect. I thought it had pit zips so I was slightly disappointed but it is lighter without them. I would recommend this jacket.
