The North Face Nuptse Down Jacket - Women's

November 4, 2009

In my experience it runs a size large. I am usually a medium in North Face but in the Nuptse I take a small.

I love Keens, Just Not This Pair

KEEN Voyageur Mid Hiking Boot - Women's

KEEN Voyageur Mid Hiking Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 April 22, 2008

I was looking for a warm-weather hiking shoe and thought these would be perfect. I was a little disappointed when I took them out of the box; they felt a little cheap. They fit OK, I didn't think the arch support was that great and they weren't as comfortable as other Keens I've tried (Keen Newport Trail, Keen Ferndale). Plus for the few minutes I had them on inside, my feet were heating up. I would have kept them because I liked the mid cut, but the Ferndales felt much better on my feet and seemed to be more breathable. They're still a nice lightweight shoe, and I'd still recommend them, but I didn't think they were spectacular. (As usual, I ordered a half size up.)

Not a Good Choice for Narrow Feet

KEEN Newport Trail Hiking Shoe - Women's

KEEN Newport Trail Hiking Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 April 21, 2008

I didn't want to return these, they were so comfortable. I ordered a half size larger than normal and my toes were bumping as I walked -- possibly because the shoe is too wide to hold my foot in place. They're really clunky looking -- they look much wider than the Targhee IIs -- so I can't imagine going up a full size. I could have lived with the width but I hate when my toes touch.
