Bio:
I have been addicted to all things outdoors since childhood. I have hiked, biked, climbed, scuba dived, sky dived, skied and backpacked in over 10 countries, and plan on continuing doing so until I drop dead or hell freezes over, whichever comes first. I am also a Leave No Trace Master Educator, and am happy to pass on my knowledge of LNT through workshops and trainer courses.

Therm-a-Rest Trekker Chair
August 10, 2011
I have a pad that folds in half lengthwise. Will I be able to keep the chair on the pad while folded? How about the Therm-A-rest Compack chair?

Stoic WPF Compression Sack - 3pk
May 6, 2011
Does the large have a see through window? It looks like it in the pics but I can't tell for sure. Also if someone has pics of the bags compared to something like a nalgene that would be useful.

Stoic Somnus 15 Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Down

Anyone have a picture of this bag in the stuff sack compared to a nalgene or something similar? Pictures without something to compare the size to are pretty useless.

Arc'teryx Arrakis 50 Backpack - 3057-3661cu in
April 20, 2011
I have been on the AT many times, and rain can dump on you for extended periods. My pack was NOT weather resistant, and my rain cover leaked like a sieve. Next time I would definitely go for something weather resistant. So, yea, it's definitely worth at least looking into.
Good luck!

The sound doesn't really bother me, but it really depends on the person. My suggestion: ear plugs.

Norrøna Bitihorn Dri1 Jacket - Men's
April 17, 2011
This jacket is completely waterproof, i.e. completely windproof as well. If you are looking for just a wind breaker, this is overkill. However, if you are looking for a rain/wind jacket, this would do nicely.

Only on one side, and I would guess that they don't put one on the other side to save weight/money. Just a guess though...
