Spacious and pretty light

Kelty Teton 4 Tent 4-Person 3-Season

Kelty Teton 4 Tent 4-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 5 September 9, 2009

For a four-man tent, this tent is pretty light. I took this on a backpacking trip with the scouts for a week. It never rained so I can't say anything about it's waterproofing. It was very spacious for two leaders and a dog. The vestibule is pretty small. I was expecting it to be bigger. It's a breeze to setup as well. The aluminum tent pegs are awesome compared to the heavy steel you usually get with a tent in this price range.

Very light flavored

Hammer Nutrition High Energy Electrolyte Drink

Hammer Nutrition High Energy Electrolyte Drink

Rating for this product: 5 April 29, 2009

There is nothing worse than being on a long ride and all you have is kool-aid (read gatorade) or any other super sugary "sports" drink in your bottle. This stuff is very light and works great. It'll keep you going without making you sick to your stomach like the punch style beverages. I like the lime flavor best.

Great All-Around Kit

Adventure Medical Fundamentals First Aid Kit

Adventure Medical Fundamentals First Aid Kit

Rating for this product: 5 April 29, 2009

This has the basics and more. I bought 2, one to keep in my car and one to take with me in the backcountry. I am a BSA climbing instructor so a good first aid kit is a necessity. I am also a scout master. I took this with me on last summers week long camp and thankfully didn't need more than bandaids. It's nice to know that you can handle a wide range of emergencies. It is not the lightest kit, but it has a heck of a lot more than a light basic kit would have.

Save your pesos and buy a 705 or 605

Garmin Edge 205 GPS Unit

Garmin Edge 205 GPS Unit

Rating for this product: 3 April 29, 2009

The newer models are tons better than the 205 or 305 model. The new ones have a click stick for easy navigation and data entry. Plus a color screen. The 205 and 205 are smaller, but not that much.

Didn't hold an edge very long

Gerber Paraframe I Serrated Edge Knife

Gerber Paraframe I Serrated Edge Knife

Rating for this product: 3 April 29, 2009

It's light and compact, but it dulled way to easy. I tried sharpening the straight part of the blade, but it just wouldn't stay sharp. I guess for the price this could be disposable more or less. I went to Sog knives and haven't regretted it at all. I have 3 now.

Aawesome Knife

SOG Knives Flash II Knife

SOG Knives Flash II Knife

Rating for this product: 5 April 29, 2009

I have 3 Sog knives and this is the one I use most. The quality is exceptional. It opens one-handed in a flash (hence the name). It was bigger than I expected when I got it, but I don't regret it one bit. The lock is definitely a plus, keeps it from taking off anything it's not supposed to. It balances well in my hand and feels great. Plus who wouldn't love to pull their knife out of their pocket and whip the blade open while their friends gape in awe.

Best bad I have ever had

Big Agnes Air Core Sleeping Pad - Mummy

Big Agnes Air Core Sleeping Pad - Mummy

Rating for this product: 5 April 29, 2009

This pad is very comfortable. I have a hard time sleeping on my side with other pads but not with this one. I have used it several times and have slept great. I used it in the snow, in January in Southern Utah, and at an early spring backpacking trip. It rolls up to about the size of a Nalgene and is lighter than my other pad too. It fits great in my Big Agnes winter sleeping bag's pocket. I fit fine on the long (I am 6'2", 210 lbs).
Get one and you won't regret it.

Love Them

Atlas 10 Series Snowshoe

Atlas 10 Series Snowshoe

Rating for this product: 5 December 17, 2008

I have used these for a season and change now. I am 6'2" and about 200 lbs and the 30 inchers work fine for me. I have used them on an overnight backpack/snowshoe/snow caving trip and they kept me afloat pretty well. I think the 35's would have been a little more supportive of my weight and pack, but these are what I have and they did the job. I use them mainly for getting out and enjoying the Utah snow for a day. Bindings are awesome; I have no trouble staying in them. They can be a bit tricky getting of when your hands are cold and they are snowy but besides that I have no complaint.
