  • Stomping Grounds:

National parks of the West, mountains of the East.
  • Bio:

Love long backpacks in the high country out west. Love to fish, whether I catch any or not. Served a year in Iraq. Not much in the way of scenery, but I did carry a pack. Married to my best hiking buddy ever. Two grown children doing well. Last big trip 08/12/08 to 08/19/08 to Glacier National Park. Last big hike was Lake McDonald to Gunsight Pass Trailhead in Glacier. Highly recommended!

...what I want in a hiking boot. They are sturdy, breathable, and they grip. Couldn't be happier with a boot unless they scratched my back. Great under a heavy pack.

Sierra Designs Electron RC 2 - 2-Person 3-SeasonTent

Rating for this product: 4 August 28, 2008

Great tent! I wish it was lighter, but what the heck. It has room and the double doors-double vestibule thing is terrific - especially when my wife has to pee in the middle of the night. Never a condensation problem, never a leak. The zippers on the rain fly get hung up once in a while, but that is about it.

Rating for this product: 3 October 9, 2006

I loved everything about the Hyperlight. Well, except for the shape of the floor. Just couldn't make it work for us, so I returned it. I must hand it to this site for the quick, no hassle crediting of my account.
