FlyLow Gear Ridge Leather Glove

FlyLow Gear Ridge Leather Glove

Rating for this product: 5 November 15, 2011

It's not an insulated Gore-Tex glove. It's a leather work glove. Of course it's not totally waterproof, but hit these babies with some extra snowseal and theyre good to go.
For the backcountry skier, there are three gloves to have - a fleece liner glove for skinning, an insulated waterproof glove for heinous cold and wet conditions, and this glove for everything else. For the price, you can't beat these.

Black Diamond Verdict Ski

February 18, 2011

CR, Will Guru is mistaken about a few things (no offense). The Verdict is wider and will perform better in deep snow, although if you're looking to ski deep blower you'd be much more suited on the Justice or the Megawatt both of which have rockered tips. I run the Justices as my daily ski here in Utah and I really dig them. Neither the Kilowatt nor the Verdict has a rockered profile. The Kilowatt is a bit turnier (the Verdict is stiffer), which you might appreciate in the trees, although I have skied the Verdicts on a few deep days and really liked them. Hope that helps.

Size it down

The North Face Fort Point Flannel Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

The North Face Fort Point Flannel Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 November 19, 2010

Nice flannel jacket, definitely size down unless you want it to fit huge. I wear medium in almost everything and the small fits me spot on. Cool colors.

A fall/winter essential

prAna Durango Flannel Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

prAna Durango Flannel Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 November 20, 2009

Very comfortable, but runs big. Medium in prana is usually pretty slim on me. This medium is definitely a little baggy - fits more like a jacket.

La Sportiva Solution Climbing Shoe - Discontinued Rubber

La Sportiva Solution Climbing Shoe - Discontinued Rubber

Rating for this product: 5 November 20, 2009

For sport climbs and boulder problems, this is it. This shoe fits like a glove and gives aggressive performance without a toe-cramping fit. Pricey, but worth it IMO.

Western Mountaineering Apache MF Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Down DO NOT USE

Western Mountaineering Apache MF Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Down DO NOT USE

Rating for this product: 5 June 5, 2009

I can't imagine what a better three-season bag would be like. This thing packs down to the size of a softball and is super fluffy when its lofted up. Microfiber fabric seems like it might rip easily, but I haven't had a problem yet and the weight savings is worth it.
