Montrail Stratos XCR Hiking Boot - Women's

Montrail Stratos XCR Hiking Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 10, 2009

One of the most versatile shoes I've owned. I own a pair of Asolo PowerMatic's and a Pair of the Montrail Stratos. I can tell you that I've never even needed the serious backpacking PowerMatic because the stratos have taken care of everything from day hikes in the Grand Canyon to a weeklong trek in Denali NP (Alaska) Fording rivers or trekking in the desert, these guys have taken it all.

I can confidently say that the others that wrote that these don't have enough support or that they're stiff as a board, have no idea what they're talking about or they have odd foot types. I have a pretty middle of the road foot and these are great!

I am a forming outdoor sports shoe salesman, this is a product I'd recommend to many customers. Although, it always depends on your foot type.

I think this product has taken over for the Namche and the Stratos. Does anyone know if that's correct?

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Women's

The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 December 15, 2008

The jacket is a great city jacket. As a gear-head and former outdoor store employee I have some issues with some of the tech parts: The zippers are small and flimsy for one. The version my wife purchased has a longer tail, which is good for keeping the back warm during windy days. This jackets should be used for mild weather and light rain. The XS fits like a S for my wife, long sleeves and long torso
