Osprey Packs Argon 70 Backpack - 4300-4700cu in

July 29, 2010

Besides your single one-week trip, do you plan on doing more backpacking in general?

If so, and If I were making this decision I would try to determine whether I would realistically be doing more week long trips or more 3-4 day trips with the occasional week-long excursion.

If the week long trips are the exception, rather than the rule, you could also get an Osprey Daylight accessory pack and then your 4,300-4,700 cu in pack becomes a 5,000-5,400 cu in pack with a very conveniently detachable summit pack.

I'm gonna be doing exactly this with my new Argon and Daylight packs when I go to Whitney this September. Maybe I'll let you know how it worked out when I get back.
