Comfortable and tough pants

Columbia Roc Pant - Men's DO NOT USE

Columbia Roc Pant - Men's DO NOT USE

Rating for this product: 4 September 22, 2006

I really enjoy my three pairs of Roc pants. They are roomy in the thighs and seat, making for a very comfortable fit. They seem like they would be pretty tough in the wild but I haven't tested them much for that use. They do wrinkle, but their weave seems to make them a little better than standard untreated khakis. The side pocket is a bit too small for my mobile phone (it fits, but it's difficult to access). It's probably OK for other small objects, though. Recommended.

Reef Smoothy Sandal - Men's

Reef Smoothy Sandal - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 September 22, 2006

This is my first pair of Reef sandals, and I've been pretty impressed with their comfort. The fabric used on the straps is not as stiff as some other brands, which helps them to feel great from the start. Some people have reported that these run a bit small, but my size 13 pair fit just fine.

One size doesn't quite fit all

Sugoi Rational Reflective Vest

Sugoi Rational Reflective Vest

Rating for this product: 3 September 22, 2006

Any item of clothing that purports to fit all sizes of men and women should be regarded with suspicion. Regrettably, I wasn't suspicious enough. I'm a tall man of average build. While this vest "fits" in a strict sense of the word (it will go over my head and attach at both sides with hook-and-loop straps), it looks absurdly short on me. The build quality is fine and the reflectivity is good, but I wouldn't recommend this for a tall man. I'm going to give mine to my mom.
