These crampons were great. The only thing I didn't like was how flexible the little transition piece (metal) from the front bail, which allows you to lace the crampons.. other than that, these things have excellent traction in all kinds of snow conditions.

Arc'teryx Sigma SV Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 25, 2006

This jacket was really a treat on the summit push when it was windy and chilly but not snowing or raining. The windproof membrane this thing has is amazing and if you wear the right layers underneath, then you will really be warm.

These were good gaiters, the soft shell aspect is really nice and allows for a lot of movement. After a day of full use however, the gray 'strips' started coming undone, and if your a style person- that might bug you.

Arc'teryx Fission Belay Parka - Unisex

Rating for this product: 5 September 25, 2006

The feeling of being cold is no good. And once I put this jacket on up on the mountain, everyone was chilled but me :). This jacket rocks... I ordered a large, because that is the size of all my jackets and they all fit well, and I was swimming in the fission belay parka. I ordered a medium after that and it seemed to do alright. So make sure you order a little smaller than usual, but not too small as you will be wearing layers on underneath.

Another great product of Arc'teryx. I loved wearing these pants. I was doing some crevasse rescue stuff and got a little wet though.. so maybe look into something that's got a little more waterproof-ness or get some Nikwax on there. Awesome pants.

Soliras Headlamp

Black Diamond Soliras Headlamp

Black Diamond Soliras Headlamp

Rating for this product: 5 September 25, 2006

This search-like of a headlamp is great. You don't even need to put in on 'high' power to blow all the other lamps out of the water (Tikka, others of the sort). This lamp was a little heavy, so if your weight conscience, then I would go with something else.. but if you don't mind carrying a few more ounces, then this is the ticket!

These pants are great. Straightforward, and the full zips were great when I got too hot or needed to pull them on over my crampons and boots.

Arc'teryx Bora 35 Backpack - 1950 cu in

Rating for this product: 5 August 9, 2006

I own the Bora 80 and love it, so I bought the Bora 35 as a day back. And I have used it a few time and use it all the time riding my bike to and from work and have never had a problem with uncomfortable-ness...great pack, I recommend it for a day back. 5 stars
