Sidi Bullet 2 Bike Shoe - Women's

Sidi Bullet 2 Bike Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 April 6, 2009

I've ridden on Sidi for road biking for a long time but these are my first pair of Sidi's for mt biking. The shoes are really comfortable - NOTE, I've got a wide foot so I ordered up a half size.

The sole is stiff, the insole cradles my foot so that's it snug which is important so I can "feel" while riding technical terrain. The lugged sole sticks to rock when I have to bail on a climb and push my bike up a boulder.

Great shoe for a decent price!

Rossignol Explorer Nordic Ski Pole

January 13, 2009

I would go with 125-135 for someone 5'1". If you're set on these, get the smallest possible (140's)I'm 5'2" and I have 135's and they are too short for me. I'm going to size up to 145's so I would suggest you definitely get 140's given your height. (Sue S)

SportHill Symmetry II Pant - Women's

November 20, 2008

My experience is that Sport Hill runs really small and really large. That may seem like a strange answer but the Smalls are very small and the Larges are really large. They have a wide variation between the sizes. I typically wear a Small and I ordered a Medium. They are a bit big but I prefer that to being tight.

Gore Bike Wear Passion II Shorts - Women's

Gore Bike Wear Passion II Shorts - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 September 16, 2008

I really like these shorts - lots of pockets, comfortable waistband that doesn't bind and the padded liner is easily removed for separate washings. One issue I have w/ the shorts - the liner seems to run a bit big while the outer short a big small which means that the outer short tends to creep up my legs when I riding - not a big deal but it means it doesn't warrant 5 stars! I ordered a Small which is my typical size.

Pearl Izumi Team Slipstream Cycling Jersey - Women's

June 24, 2008

I typically wear a small in most brands but I find my Pearl Izumi jerseys tend to run a bit on the small side. I esp notice it in the length - they run short so they gap with my shorts. If borderline, I'd go up a size.

Montrail Continental Divide Trail Running Shoe - Women's

April 30, 2008

I normally use inserts since I have high arches but in my Montrails I've been able to use them without since they have a decent arch support. Hope that helps!

Nixon Small Player Watch - Women's

I have a thin wrist too and I think it's sort of bulky but not too bad. It depends on your preference -if you think it's too big.

Patagonia Capilene 2 Cap Sleeve T-Shirt - Women's

March 31, 2008

My experience has been that Capilene is super soft and less prone to chafing than other performance tees by other brands. That justifies an extra $10 for me.

Norrøna Narvik Gore-Tex Comfortshell Pant - Men's

March 11, 2008

Does this pant have built in gaiters? I can't tell from the photo and the Tech Specs don't mention it like they do on some of the other ski pants.

Mountain Hardwear Sub Zero Down Jacket - Women's

March 10, 2008

I've got a friend who has this in a small - she's about 5'10", has long arms and is thin. Fits her great - doesn't seem to be short in the arms or torso.

Chaco Flip Sandal - Women's

Chaco Flip Sandal - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 March 6, 2008

Great pair of flip flops, excellent arch support. Durable, comfortable - some flip flops cause irritation between my toes - these don't. Only drawback is that in the black they are just sort of blah from a style standpoint.

My "Go To" Jacket

MontBell Alpine Light Down Jacket - Women's

MontBell Alpine Light Down Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 February 29, 2008

In the 2 months I've had this jacket I've worn it practically every day. It has a huge temperature range - I can wear it when it's 20 degrees or 50 degrees and it works. I use it for snowshoeing when it's really cold but mostly it's my walk my dog, go out to dinner, shovel snow, throw in the backpack for when the sun goes down, etc.

Super lightweight, warm, comfortable, just wish that the pockets zipped.

MSR Hubba Hubba 2-Person 3-Season

MSR Hubba Hubba 2-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 5 October 10, 2007

Took the Hubba Hubba on a fall canoe trip in the Boundry Waters. It's incredibly light so it made the portages a breeze, super easy set-up which was great since it was raining. Lots of room even with 2 people and gear. The only drawback is that I wanted a loop at the top to hang my headlamp - but I can deal with that!

Smith Toaster Sunglasses - Interchangeable

Rating for this product: 4 October 10, 2007

I've had my Smith Toasters for 5 yrs and I love them! I have a small face and they fit great. I use them year around for biking, skiing, hiking, running... The only drawback I've found is that the lens are a little hard to change and they don't seat perfectly once they've been changed.

La Sportiva Mythos Climbing Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 10, 2007

I've been climbing is this shoe for 4 years and they never disappoint. I use them on cracks, face, at the gym, etc. They are super comfortable (I can even belay with them on) - I've tried other shoes but nothing compares to the Mythos. BTW - my foot is wide and I have a super high arch.

Montrail Vitesse Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Montrail Vitesse Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 4, 2007

I've got a wide foot and am prone to twisting my ankles while running trails. These shoes provide great stability (although they are a neutral shoe). They have a wide toebox while being snug around my heel. I wasn't sure that I would like the attached tongue - but it assists in hugging my feet. The only drawback is that the shoes are a little hard to get on because of the attached tongue.

prAna Bliss Short - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 3, 2007

Friends had told me how great these shorts are and it's true. They fit well (small is true to size), move with me, and are long enough that I can wear them under my harness and they don't bunch up.
