Stoic eVent Stash Shell - Men's

January 7, 2010

I'm wondering how EVENT breathes compared to the GoreTex in the AlphaSV because I just got a 2009 AlphaSV back as a warranty exchange for my old 2005 AlphaSV jacket. I'm a men's medium and want to sell this AlphaSV (red) if I can find a comparable replacement. It's new, and I don't know if it would be better to keep it or trade it out for some newer fabric technology:) Not necessarily for the Stoic, maybe Westcomb? Experienced info helps, thanks.

Arc'teryx Alpha SV Jacket - Men's

January 7, 2010

Hey, is the EVENT fabric comparable to the gortex used on the Alpha SV? I've got a 2009 AlphaSV that was given to me as a warranty replacement for delaminations on my 2005 AlphaSV seams. I'm wondering if I should sell this or keep it. This largely depends on others' reviews of the EVENT fabric. Thanks!

Patagonia Micro Puff Hooded Insulated Jacket - Men's

November 3, 2009

With only 100g primaloft, why is this jacket heavier than the Patagonia DAS parka that has 170g primaloft? They both have hoods. The DAS is just under 12oz. I'm confused. Help. Mayday. M'aidez.
