I have been looking for a backpack to serve a dual purpose, outdoor recreation and a school bag. Is this bag wide enough to fit a full-size textbook in the main compartment?

Arc'teryx Alpha SV Jacket - Men's
September 5, 2009
Is the inner pocket waterproof? I need to find a good shell that has a completely secure/waterproof pocket for my iphone. Last winter I ruined a phone with it in a chest pocket when it became soaked from my own perspiration. Nothing got in from the outside, but the pocket wasn't protected from the inside-out. Any idea if there is a pocket suitable on this jacket for an electronic device?

Brunton My-TI Folding Spork
July 8, 2008
Does anyone have any issues with the spork closing on it's own while in use? Other brands have had complaints about the spork folding under the weight of food. I want to get these so they fit in my cooking set, but am not sure about the folding idea.
