Mountain Hardwear Sub Zero Down Jacket - Men's

August 17, 2009

You might want to look at a synthetic insulated jacket. They often have a DWR coating or are waterproof. I have an Outdoor research chaos jacket that I've worn in light rain in February. MH also makes insulated jackets that are waterproof.

Loved it.

Sea To Summit Pocket Soap

Sea To Summit Pocket Soap

Rating for this product: 5 August 17, 2009

I took this with me on a trip to Nicaragua. It was great not having to rely on hand sanitizer to clean up with before I ate or got my hands dirty. One sheet is all you need. You do need to be careful about getting the soap out before you wash, but it's not a big problem. I didn't use it for anything but hand washing so I don't know if it works well for the other stated uses, but it worked well for me. BTW, the package is a LOT smaller than I would have guessed from the picture, doesn't matter though, it still works well.

Money well spent.

Werner Skagit FG IM 2-Piece Paddle - Straight Shaft

Werner Skagit FG IM 2-Piece Paddle - Straight Shaft

Rating for this product: 5 June 15, 2009

I bought this as a replacement for an aluminum shaft paddle that came with my kayak. The skagit is a 100x better. It's a lot lighter and it doesn't have any flutter at all.
