Black Diamond Guide Glove - Men's

Black Diamond Guide Glove - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 14, 2011

I have been on a seemingly endless search for the perfect glove, and finally found it in the Guide. I work as a snowmobile guide and ski on my days off, so essentially I am in the elements all day every day and now I do so without frozen digits. If you want warm hands without going to mitts, get this glove. I usually wear size large gloves, but went for the medium which fit a little snug at first, but packed out a bit and the leather stretched slightly to be my perfect fit. Initially thought the cuff was too big, but have grown to love it. I can't say enough good things about this glove.

DAKINE Stingray Glove

DAKINE Stingray Glove

Rating for this product: 5 November 30, 2008

Love the gloves, I tried them on in a store first to make sure I got the right fit, but they fit pretty much the same as any other DK gloves. So far only ridden them right around freezing, maybe a couple degrees below, and my hands weren't cold at all, but I have a feeling I may wear some thin liners with them on the coldest of days. Also put a coat of waterproof spray on them, and they don't let any water in at all, very nice. Breathability is pretty good when riding, but had to take them off when hiking because my hands got too hot.

generally fog, but...

Anon Figment Replacement Lens

Anon Figment Replacement Lens

Rating for this product: 3 November 30, 2008

I have lived through a few seasons with the figments, love the style and fit, but generally have had problems with the lenses fogging. They seem to be fine for the first 8-10 days on a brand new lens, but after that something seems to happen and they incessantly fog up. This got bad enough that I would carry a replacement lens with me so when they fogged, I could switch the lens on the hill. However, I recently got the yellow lens for low light conditions, and after one day, so far so good, no fogging, so we will see how they perform. General advice, be very careful not to touch the inside of the lens with anything and hope for the best.
