This is a great all-around jacket. I've got a Gore Tex Pro Shell shell that works as a great alternative or for layering cases. But this jacket, with just the right amount of insulation, is smartly thought out with consideration to the features, comfortable, warm, and good looking either on the mountain or in the village. I'm 5'11, 175lbs and the medium works for me, and I'd say it has a normal fit. This obviously assumes that you're NOT going to layer underneath, as the insulation means you don't need it. The Pertex is a little foreign to me as most of my other outerwear is of various Gore Tex varieties, but seems to do a pretty good/equal to Gore Tex type of job of shedding H2O. I haven't skied with it yet, but it's been great for everything short of mountain time so far.

There are terrific for skiing. I have a pair of the full length tights, as well as the 3/4 tights. The performance of both are terrific. You really feel the support, and true to form, your legs are not as tired at the end of the day. They are warm enough that they can be worn in fairly cold weather solo under pro-shell pants. But the 3/4 version definitely worked better, for me at least, for skiing, as they remain free of the boot. The full-length version seem to bunch up at the top of the boot. They're great too, but not for me for skiing. But definitely highly recommend these; yes, perhaps expensive when compared to something like Patagonia Capilene, but you do actually get a lot more for the price.

Bought these mid-season 2009-2010 Winter, and can't speak of them highly enough. I'm thrilled with them. I'm 5'11, 170, and use them in greatly varied terrain, but all in the Sierra, and they're very versatile. The nice float you would expect of a 94, yet not too fat that you give up control. Highly recommended.

Bought this pack midway through ski season, and bottom line, it rocks. I'm 5'11, 170, and had a little trouble deciding upon the M or the L. I eventually settled on the M because the L felt a little too long.

The pack has great features. Have carried skis on hike outs both A frame and diagonal style, and I think the diagonal works slightly better, but that's probably not necessarily a feature of the backpack per se. Pockets in plenty of spaces, and like how they divided them out; very well designed and thought out pack.

Hydration works real well with an insulated conduit through the right sleeve. The pack is low-profile enough that on most of the modern high speed lifts the seats are deep enough that you do not need to remove it - at least that was the case at Squaw. And the pack is as expected very stable with just chest strap buckled, but especially with both hip and chest straps on the steeps. I did a lot of research into this pack, and must say too that this pack seemed significantly lighter than most of the others I looked at, with no discernible drawback whatsoever.

Great pack - definitely give it a 5 out of 5 and very much recommend it.
