Aggressive, all-terrain, stable ski.

Black Diamond Havoc Ski

Black Diamond Havoc Ski

Rating for this product: 5 March 29, 2010

I chose these skis because I knew I'd log a lot more resort hours than backcountry hours this season, and after reading everyone's reviews and seeing all the awards they received. I agree, just stellar. They are stable, bust through crud like a tank on a turbo setting, snap into a turn quickly, have great flotation in [east coast] powder and perform great in corn and even slush. My favorite thing about them? ZERO chatter and I mean all season long. The only place I had trouble with them is hard bumps, I literally got thrown around like on them an old ragdoll and had to pull out softer boards. I mounted a Hammerhead on them and must admit that this is by far my favorite setup. Also, have never had twin tips before (not much of a jibber) but they came in handy this year skiing backwards while teaching my 4 year old and it was pretty smooth.

OUTSTANDING

22 Designs Hammerhead Telemark Binding

22 Designs Hammerhead Telemark Binding

Rating for this product: 5 March 6, 2010

These are by far the best bindings I've ever skied. I've been on Violes, Rottefellas, T9s, and 02s, but my hammerheads easily outperform them all. I love the fact I can customize the pivot point on the fly, I loosen them up a bit for bumps and tighten them down for bustin' through crud. My friends tried to tell me about these bindings for several years now, I wish I'd listened before, I swear they've made me a better skier. From now on its hammerheads all the way!

Black Diamond O1/O2/O3 Cartridges

Black Diamond O1/O2/O3 Cartridges

Rating for this product: 4 February 25, 2010

Wow, what a difference, swapped out long cartridges for these short ones as the long ones kept traveling on me and releasing me at inopportune moments. Not only do I stay in the binding but man they have redefined STIFF! W00t!!

Great baby shades

Julbo Looping Sunglasses - Spectron 4 Baby - Infant

Julbo Looping Sunglasses - Spectron 4 Baby - Infant

Rating for this product: 5 June 23, 2006

These work great for my 10-month-old; he seems to be sensitive to light in his eyes, and these really do the trick for him. I am surprised that he doesn't pull them off because he hates to wear hats. The shades seem to fit him well, too, even though he's a BIG boy (95th percentile).
