Wild Country Wild-Wire Quickdraw

Wild Country Wild-Wire Quickdraw

Rating for this product: 4 January 16, 2009

The overall quickdraw is fine, you can't really go wrong with two carabiners and small sling. My only beef is that the red carabiner cannot be taken out of the sling. I like to be able to use my quickdraws as just regular carabiners if I need to, and Wildcountry quickdraws always have a little rubber peice to prevent you from taking one out. I suppose that this is helpful in some cases, but I just wish it was posted in the product description.

Very Impressed

Black Diamond Dynex Sewn Runners

Black Diamond Dynex Sewn Runners

Rating for this product: 5 January 16, 2009

I have a bunch of old nylon runners and some tied nylon loops, so when I snagged one of these, I was so impressed by how thin and light it was. I haven't died yet, so I guess they do a pretty good job as well.

Very Nice

Snow Peak Titanium Spork

Snow Peak Titanium Spork

Rating for this product: 5 January 16, 2009

I had been using a stolen set of silverware from some restaurant, which worked well and was free, so I didn't think that it was a good idea to buy a spork, but now, I wouldn't use anything else. It's lightweight, you only need one, it's great for cooking, great for eating; just all around great. Snowpeak did a great job with this spork.

Easy to open

Black Diamond Rocklock Carabiner

Black Diamond Rocklock Carabiner

Rating for this product: 5 September 26, 2008

Some locking carabiners require two or three hands to open, but this one can easily be opened using just one. The action is smooth, the biner works well, and I have no complaints. Except for maybe the price, rock climbing gear is alway expensive, but all in all, this carabiner is worth the money.

Slick like Ice

Black Diamond ATC Belay Device

Black Diamond ATC Belay Device

Rating for this product: 2 August 28, 2008

I have a very old ATC like this and I just ordered the Petzl Reverso because lowering a top rope rappel has two speeds on this ATC; too fast, and way too fast. I'll admit that it is tried and true, but technology changes for a reason. There is a reason that companies don't make belay plates anymore, and there is a reason that better belay devices have come on the market.

Osprey womens packs for guys

Osprey Packs Luna 85 Backpack - Women's - 5100cu in

Osprey Packs Luna 85 Backpack - Women's - 5100cu in

Rating for this product: 5 September 26, 2006

Yea, I love my Osprey Luna, I took it on my trip to the Grand Tetons, and it was great. It was comfortable and spread the weight evenly. I am a little guy, and the Crescent doesn’t come in a small, so I opted to get the Luna, and I couldn’t be happier. The only difference that I can tell is the color, which I got the green, or "jade", but other than that, they are pretty much identical to the Crescent, just smaller. The pack performed well, and had a great capacity, not only in the main compartment, but it was easy to strap things on to the packs outside. I love it.
