MPG Clipper Active Crew - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 July 29, 2008

Used it under a life vest while wave running on Lake Tahoe... kept me warm enough even though I was wet, and the air temp was about 70 degrees (first thing in the morning, when the water was still smooth).

Snow Peak Peg Hammer w/ Copper Head

Snow Peak Peg Hammer w/ Copper Head

Rating for this product: 4 July 29, 2008

It's a little heavy, but.. as pointed out in previous review, prevents you from having to use (and ultimately jacking up) other gear.

Okay.. it's late and i'm under the influence of lunesta, but.. someone please help us out here!

MSR Reactor Stove

MSR Reactor Stove

Rating for this product: 5 November 16, 2007

I'd been waiting for this to hit shelves for about 8 months.. finally got one when they broke this past September. It is everything I hoped it would be: fast and light. Okay, it's not a featherweight, but.. for what it does, I'm content with weight. I used to wait 10 minutes for a cup and a half of water to boil with the SnowPeak Giga-Power .. and my two buddies would wait even longer with their wal-mart specials.. but now I'm boiling a liter of water in 3 minutes, and so we're all eating in 10-15, rather 25-45. Can't wait to try this puppy at altitude next fall on Long's Peak.

Discomfort Killa!

Mountain Hardwear Runout Pant - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Runout Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 24, 2007

I've been a fan of Mountain Hardwear gear for a few years now, and these pants just reinforce why: they're comfortable, tough, stylish, well-designed, and the fit is spot on. I wear them to work, on weekends, and on the trail. I have two pairs, thr first of which snagged on a thorn bush or something, but they didn't rip very much at all (barely noticeable). Take care of them, and they'll last a good long time!

Mountain Hardwear Synchro Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Synchro Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 June 1, 2006

I first used it along the Shenandoah Mountain Trail on a 22-mile hike (which means there was an overnight). It was great for the day time drops in temp when you hit the shady side of a mountain, but I began shivering uncontrollably once the fire was put out before bed (and the real temp, 30F rushed into our camp). It was, however, a perfect shell for breakfast when the temp was around 45F. Overall, great jacket but I wish it was a little more stain resistant.
