The build quality on it is good and i think it would be a good summer bag but if you are going to be out in cooler temps I would not recommend it. I took it out this fall when the temperature only went down to about 45 at night and was freezing with a shirt and shorts on. I ended up adding some sweatpants, softshell jacket, and hat just to try and stay comfortable. i usually sleep warm but for some reason this bag left me freezing.

DAKINE Mission Photo Backpack - 1500cu in

October 9, 2009

yes it will. There is no padded laptop sleeve but I can fit my 14in into the front pocket while the camera block is packed with a little squeeze. It's pretty tight and doesn't give the computer much protection but works well for short trips.

DAKINE Mission Photo Backpack - 1500cu in

DAKINE Mission Photo Backpack - 1500cu in

Rating for this product: 4 October 9, 2009

This is a great little pack. I can fit my SLR with a battery grip, 70-200mm lens, 2 smaller kit lenses, flash, chargers, and batteries inside the camera block. I will usually use the larger front pocket for extra memory cards and can also fit my 14in laptop in it with a little squeeze. The camera block just fits inside the pack and ads some rigidity to it so you don't have to worry about crushing everything inside. The main access to the pack is through the back panel, the entire back will fold out of the way so you have open access to it. I got the bomber color which doesn't look as white as it does in the picture, has a little bit of a green tan tint to it and the print on it makes it look really dirty. I have been very happy with the pack overall, just wish they have a couple more dividers to adjust the storage in the camera block.

Great Pack

Osprey Packs Atmos 65 Pack - 3800-4200 cu in

Osprey Packs Atmos 65 Pack - 3800-4200 cu in

Rating for this product: 5 March 23, 2009

This is a great pack! It was very comfortable and the ventilated back panel kept my back breathing well. I had it packed pretty tight but never really noticed the weight while hiking. The front pockets worked great for carrying a personal camp stove and extra lenses for my camera and the sleeping bag compartment was a great fit with the marmot helium eq. I think that the only complaint that I have is that it was a little akward packing the gear around the curved frame but once everything was in it was great.

Big Agnes Seedhouse SL2 Super Light Tent: 2-Person 3-Season

Big Agnes Seedhouse SL2 Super Light Tent: 2-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 4 March 23, 2009

This is a great tent. The weight was great and the tent held up well in some pretty high winds. It is a very good size for one person and some gear, I think that if you had 2 people it would be way to small especially if you had gear for a couple day trip. Overall very good tent, great quality, Just gave it 4 stars because the size wouldn't work very well for 2 people.

great little stove

Primus EtaExpress Stove

Primus EtaExpress Stove

Rating for this product: 4 March 23, 2009

Great little stove for backpacking trips. It's lightweight and boils water very fast. The skillet is just about the right size for a couple eggs and it also works well to flip over and use as a lid. Everything fits right back into the pot which goes into a small mesh sack that holds everything very neatly.

Not too bad

Icelantic Shaman Alpine Ski

Icelantic Shaman Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 4 March 20, 2009

These skis were actually pretty suprising. I tried them out on a groomer day, they carved a lot better than I thought they would. The only complaint that I had is that they did feel a little akward at times when i was turning because the tips kept clicking together because of the width. they are still very fun skis and will obviously float in the deep stuff.

these obviously float very well. Tried them out for a week, had them mounted with some BD Fritschi Freeride Plus's. They got pretty heavy hiking because the weight of the skins that fit them but more than made up for it on the way back down the hill. You will look like a champ in any kind of snow condition!

These are pretty fun skis. They don't do very well in the crud but turn well and are a good all around ski. I really wish that they kept them stiffer.

Line Mothership Alpine Ski

Line Mothership Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 4 January 8, 2009

this is a pretty cool ski. They are really heavy, I have used them mostly on groomers so far and they are really fun to point down the hill because you will never find the top speed on them. The thing that I didn't like was they didn't like to turn very well, they just felt pretty planky. If you get a chance to try them out, go for it!

Rossignol S7 Caballero Alpine Ski

Rossignol S7 Caballero Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 5 January 8, 2009

These are really fun skis. They float very well in the powder! The thing that came as a suprise to me was how decent they did on the groomers as well. I thought that they were going to be complete dogs on groomers but were actually pretty playful and carved alright. The place where I wasn't such a fan or these ski's was in the crud, has very soft tip and tail and I just felt like I was getting tossed around a lot on these. I would recommend these for those deep powder days!

4FRNT Skis VCT Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 4 December 3, 2008

these ski's are a lot of fun. I have only used them on groomers so far and was surprised how well they did. Felt good, went up on edge very easily, felt very stable at speed and blasted through the crud very well. One thing I noticed with them is that you have to stay pretty aggressive with them or they will start to toss you around a bit. They are definitely worth checking out, a lot of fun!

The North Face Chugach 14 Backpack - 850cu in

It's a pretty decent pack, nothing special. I'm not a very big fan of the top snowboard strap because you have to unbuckle it every time you want to get into the pack. Also I will probably end up cutting most of the straps shorter because they are all pretty long. It fit's pretty well to my back and has a low profile which is nice for me. Seems like it would work well for carrying a laptop as well.

Sorel Kaska Boot - Women's

Sorel Kaska Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 November 29, 2008

got them for my girlfriends birthday. They looked great when I got them, seemed to be very good quality. She loved how they looked but did notice that they were very slim around the ankle so were difficult to get onto the foot. Once they were on she said they were very comfortable and warm. Pretty disappointed though because after she wore them for about a week the seam along the back of the ankle pulled apart. For boots this expensive it doesn't seem like this is something that should happen.
