Frozen Fingers!

Cloudveil Tram Line Glove - Women's

Cloudveil Tram Line Glove - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 February 3, 2009

I might just chalk this up to my poor circulation, but I think these gloves do not stand up to description. I took them out for the first time on a 10 degree day. My fingers were icicles. I gave them another chance on a 20 degree day, and my fingers were still frozen. The are pretty nice looking, but I would rather have warm digits. I am just hoping that if they pack out a little bit they will be warmer.

They Rip But With A Couple Issues

Black Diamond O1 Telemark Ski Binding DO NO TUSE

Black Diamond O1 Telemark Ski Binding DO NO TUSE

Rating for this product: 4 February 3, 2009

Overall, these bindings rip on the downhill and are rad for skinning...
I have had a lot of trouble getting my cartridges in the right position for stiffness. I am constantly adjusting them. Gee's advice on his review is great, but I might just mark mine with a Sharpie. When touring, a really tight cartridge seems to inhibit the range of motion offered by the free pivot a little bit. As much as it is a pain, I will most likely be adjusting the cartridges for the skin and then again for the ski on long tours.
Speaking of touring, when I pop up my climbing heel, the cross bar on the back of the binding gets hung up and sticks to the heel on every "step." I'm thinking of getting the guys that mounted them to take another look and see if they can fix the problem. Something to think about when you get yours mounted.
