Got the goo out

Nikwax Tech Wash

Nikwax Tech Wash

Rating for this product: 5 December 11, 2006

I've used this stuff for 2 seasons (winter) now, and it did the best job of getting the goo and gunk off my 9 and 13 yr old's Patagonia ski coats. Good stuff. Wash first in this, then use the Nik waterproof to add back the DWR. When skiing in Snowbird, my husband said on the "washed" coats the water just beaded up on the surface, and didn't get soaked.

Water just beads up

Nikwax TX Direct Wash In Waterproof

Nikwax TX Direct Wash In Waterproof

Rating for this product: 5 December 11, 2006

We ski from Nov to March, weather permitting in No. Michigan and Utah, and the last two years I've washed my boys and husbands coat in the Nikwash and Nik Waterproof products (a guy at the ski shop recommended it) and it works great. Coats are clean, water just beads up. Good stuff for humid environments.
