Bang. A rack. Proven quality, with all pieces being versatile and user-friendly. If you need a full rack, or want to double/triple what you already have. This kit is everything you need.

If the only thing keeping you stuck at the gym is the gear. Forget about it, and go clip some bolts. "Skinny" rope (60m-nice), enough draws for most sport-climbs, and the "best" rope-bag around completes a bomber kit.

Lightweight. Perfect for backpacking, backcountry skiing, tent/tarp pitching, and impressing people with your titanium, badass trekking poles. Solid construction, durable as all-get-out, and great performance. In cold weather the adjustments get "finicky" (still worth it), but they’ve never let me down. Get "snowflake" baskets (from Leki), and just go man. Just go.

I would give it a 5, but it's a tent stake. It can be used in sand/loose ground, and as normal tent stakes, but "dead men" is where these little fellas shine. If you camp in snow frequently, you'll love these.

Spend weeks at a time in your tent? If yes, then buy this loft; store a book, headlamp, dry socks/liner gloves, and cards (just in case) is simple and out of the way. Cheap-ish, and can be rigged to almost any tent with a loft system.

Never in years of camping/backpacking/skiing, have I ever even considered the possibility of any trouble in regards to this fuel bottle. Its 22oz holds 2-3 days of cooking/snow-melting fuel for two or three people. Bomber and-a-half.

If you guide/lead groups frequently, or go on long trips, one of these in your pack can rescue and/or salvage a trip. I’ve seen it. Also works good as a replacement if your stove pump gets cooked (get it).

It's actually really cool and works well (compatible with several stoves). Pretty light too. But only really necessary in the snow, and it doesn’t work as well as a license-plate duct-taped to some insulate-padding.

Lightweight aficionados abhor this fantastic little guy. But if long winter/high-altitude trips are on the menu, this windscreen/heat exchanger is worth its weight in gold. And it doesn't weigh that much.

The light-weight and innovative design takes a little getting used to. The bite valve can fall out pretty easily, but the bladder is slightly amazing. More durable than you'd think, and easier than a Camelbak. But I'd only recommend it for warm weather.

I love these. They're great for organization, reducing bulk/volume, they make nice pillows, and they look cool. Super-light, and breathable (put wet/damp clothes in one and toss it in your sleeping bag, be your own dryer). Extra nice.

Single-finger-trigger. Let that soak in. Smooth camming action, easy to place, easy to clean, and when you're pumped-out you will appreciate the hotness. Pull the trigger off-axis to fine-tune placements easily. 5++

This camming system truly reflects the thousands of hours and dollars that BD has spent on research/testing. Amazing weight, range, and their new slings are super sweet. So good it hurts.

These are a staple of any great top-roping rack. And necessary for anyone climbing in horizontal crack country. I love them, and they fit a wide-variety of placements. And they're well-priced.

...and put these on it. I can almost guarantee you'll be glad you have them at >80% of your anchor locations. They go where other pro cannot. And with Dyneema, get-out my man.

Turn sticky cams and biner-gates back to butter (so smooth). A must for anyone in grainy environments (high/low-deserts,etc.) Clean/inspect your gear every year. Don't turn your pricey-pro into a liability. Take care of your stuff. Essential equipment.

Grab this pack o'cams and go send that finger-crack you've been eyeing. Easily placed, solid feel, confidence inspiring. 'Nuff said.

If roped-climbing isn't your "bag" but you're fascinated with trad-climbing, get several of these for a top-rope kit and climb on. Great for rigging, teaching trad-climbing (these demand better placements), and guiding or top-roping. Hella old-school-cool.

Some people love colors, I don't really care. But these nuts are a good starting point for a rack. Works pretty well in most rock types, good geometry, easy to read/judge placements. Not the best, but probably the most versatile.

Update your trad rack, go light weight, I dare you. You'll never go back to nylon. Stronger, lighter, and better. FYI- not better for prussiks/ascenders/descender-backup. Only better as runners...they're sweet.

Lightest, strongest ball-lock, Best. Sooo expensive. If you can afford the best, get like 12 of these.

Super nice clip, sweet rope interaction (cleaning, gate clearance). Hard sport routes? Amazing to clip.

Throw these on a sport anchor, and make a thrilling (good) belaying for people on top rope. Trad climbers, think of the last climb with rope drag "issues"; now throw this little guy on a long sling and take the profanity out of climbing.

Holy crap these are light. Slightly goofy gate action, so light…dude, they're light. They weight almost nothing, and they're expensive.

Pit-tests, snow caves, kickers, and backcountry-shovel sledding runs hasn't "broke" it. Big blade, comfortable shovel, moves loads of fluff. Simple, beefy design.

Simple, plain, bomber. Big tarp, packs/travels well. Convenient, just plain good. Fits 2 double-ropes (8.3mm).

Nice hand, good weight/numbers. Can wear quickly with heavy use, better as a "prize-line" (for sending epic lines only). Good hand to the bitter end.

Super small/light/sweeet. Still sorta new to me. Wouldn't use it for projecting, sweeeeet sending rope, clips nice. A touch stiff, experts only. No tiny-rope "skills" = death. :(

Trad climber? Buy this. Smooth belay function, smooth/controlled rappel, auto-block (pimp-dizzle and a half), etc, etc. Buy this and read the owners manual.

Ice climber/skinny-rope lover? This piece makes your life so nice on multi-pitch routes. (see reverso)

If you spend time belaying people that hang and hang, bolt after bolt, this might be the device for you. Compact, user friendly, and it works fairly well for solo missions. The handle is a bit small/hard to use with pumped hands, but it works well. A *5* as a lap-running/fixed rope-projecting device.

BD quality, good numbers, work-horse capability. Paired straight/bent gates for quickdraws are a solid foundation (nice clips) for any sport/trad rack. Not exceptional, yet slightly amazing.

Solid/uniform racking, lightweight biner. BD quality, good price. As with most symmetrical carabiners, you'd thank yourself for marking the top or bottom.

Super light, super small, gate is a little stiff but oh so nice. Well reviewed biner, but may be too small (big/clumsy hands? not for you). Good/better with small ropes (<10mm). Hella light/small.

Ultra-classic. If you need 6000 biners, quality and price are right. Better technology exists. Perfect for rigging, slack-lining, aid racks, guiding/outdoor programs, and the like.
