The North Face Khumbu Fleece Jacket - Women's

The North Face Khumbu Fleece Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 April 20, 2009

I ordered this jacket because I thought it would be similar to my 3- or 4-year-old Salathe fleece, but in comparison it is pretty boxy and seems sort of stiff. It may be that it would soften up with wear, and the boxy problem may have been because it was big on me (the medium was too big, but is what I wear in all other North Face jacketry), but I'm not willing to risk the money and find out. I'm sending it back for another Salathe.

The North Face Horizon Utility Pant - Women's

The North Face Horizon Utility Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 14, 2009

These pants are the most comfortable and flattering nylon ones that I've tried. I normally wear a size 4 or 6, and needed an 8 in these. I weigh between 120 and 125 and an 5'4. My inseam is 30-31, and the length is great with tennis shoes. They are very thin, which is nice, but these are not for very cold weather.

I have had this jacket for 3 years now, and it's still my every day spring and fall choice. It's very soft.

I was looking for a winter coat that I could take skiing occasionally, and this is just what I was looking for. I'm 5'4” and 120-125lb and needed a medium.

great raincoat, not exactly winter material to me

The North Face Universal Infusion Jacket - Women's

The North Face Universal Infusion Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 April 3, 2006

I ordered this expecting to get a winter coat/occasional skiing jacket, but when I got it, that wasn't really what it was. It looks like it could withstand a downpour really well, but I'd probably need a sweater plus another layer or two to be warm in cold rain or snow. I am exchanging it for a North Face triclimate jacket instead.
