Uncomfortable

BEARPAW Moc Slipper - Men's

BEARPAW Moc Slipper - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 September 30, 2009

I've owned lots of sheepskin slippers and these are very uncomfortable. They also have a strange sole with a slight elevation. Probably contributes to them being so uncomfortable.

Too loose

Mountain Hardwear Windstopper Flex Balaclava

Mountain Hardwear Windstopper Flex Balaclava

Rating for this product: 2 December 29, 2008

I tried this skiing recently and found the fit just way too loose. Granted, it was 1 degree and 20-30mph winds, but that's exactly what I purchased it for. With the loose fit combined with the holes, I was freezing. With a tighter fit on the face I think it would have been awesome.

Strange binding

Tubbs Glacier Snowshoes - Kids'

Tubbs Glacier Snowshoes - Kids'

Rating for this product: 2 December 29, 2008

We own two pair of Atlas snowshoes and love them. I purchase these since my daughter is in between kids and women's.... When we went out to use the first time her boot kept sliding too far forward and was hitting against the webbing in the front. I tried to tighten the binding but that just hurt her instep. Going back to Atlas!

Mountain Hardwear Canyon Pant - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Canyon Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 9, 2008

These pants have worked out great I've used them out hiking and in my job as a Personal Trainer. I got them pretty wet hiking in the snow last weekend (body sledding also) and couldn't believe how quickly they dried. In my PT Studio I'm amazed at how I generally don't get hot. Great pants.

These skis rock!

K2 Work Stinx Telemark Ski

K2 Work Stinx Telemark Ski

Rating for this product: 5 September 16, 2008

I started telemarking last year and the local shop recommended these. I couldn't be more pleased. I ski at Loveland here in Colorado where the terrain is less groomed and more varied. The Work Stinx make life a lot easier Especially for a new telemark skier. I have the BD 02 bindings. Love them also!

You'll be pleased.... I can't wait to hit the backcountry with them.

Marmot Original DriClime Windshirt - Men's

Marmot Original DriClime Windshirt - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 9, 2008

I just purchased this jacket after hearing such great things. I got to try it out yesterday: 43 degrees, wind 15+ mph and above treeline at around 12,000 feet. It performed wonderfully. I wore only it and a short sleeve shirt for most of the hike and was warm the entire time. I bought black so it would absorb the sun better so I think that helped since it was sunny most the time.

Highly recommend it!

Mountain Hardwear HyperDry Zip Top - Men's

Mountain Hardwear HyperDry Zip Top - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 31, 2008

The best base layer I've ever owned. I've used it skiing this year out here in Colorado on cold days and milder days (30's) and in both cases it performed great. It's also VERY comfortable.

Scarpa T2X Telemark Ski Boot

Scarpa T2X Telemark Ski Boot

Rating for this product: 5 March 20, 2008

I'm a new telemark skier this year and these boots have made all the difference. I demo'd the T1 (too rigid) and the Garmont Syner-G's (too wide). If you have a narrow heel these will work out great.

I found they were rigid just enough as to not be over kill like the T1's. Additionally, no break-in time.

K2 Work Stinx Telemark Ski

K2 Work Stinx Telemark Ski

Rating for this product: 5 March 20, 2008

When your new to telemarking you need something easy to drive. These skis are it! I tried many different skis before purchasing these and the Work Stinx were by far the easiest to handle in varying conditions.

Now If I could just keep my body facing downhill. :o)
