Nordica Enforcer Alpine Ski

March 19, 2009

These would make a great East Coast groomer ski. They really can bomb anything and blast through mank with great stability and dampness. I'd say medium-stiff.

Backcountry.com Shift Welder Hoody - Men's

December 18, 2008

I bought the Tahoe color off SAC the other night. I opened it up today, and I really like the fit/color/fabric. Any idea when that Red version will be available?

Backcountry.com Goat Wool Flexfit Hat

March 26, 2008

I'd go for the Organic Cotton cap. This may get too hot and itchy on the way up. The cotton one is just lighter.

66 North Iceland Tindur Technical Jacket - Women's

66 North Iceland Tindur Technical Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 26, 2007

I got this for my girlfriend for her birthday, and she loved it from the moment she first put it on. Tech fit hugs her curves, so it looks good, it's still pretty unique in the US and the Wind Pro Fleece beats the crap out of the ubiquitous The North Face Denali.

Salomon X Wave 8.0 Ski Boot - Men's

Salomon X Wave 8.0 Ski Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 7, 2007

Wore these a day before I skied with them. First boot from Salomon, and one of the only boots to fit my wide foot. Very responsive for an 85 flex boot. Spaceframe 'honeycombs' look pretty badass too.

Hot Head's Dream!

Smith Prodigy Turbo Fan Series Goggles

Smith Prodigy Turbo Fan Series Goggles

Rating for this product: 5 April 2, 2007

One of my most memorable days on the slopes was last year at Kirkwood on a storm day. I was so bundled up for the lift that when I was ripping down 2ft of fresh, I got so warm that my goggles fogged. I kept having to stop and wipe them or change goggles, and it put a hamper on what otherwise would have been my best powder day ever. I never wanted that to happen again, so I purchased the Turbo Fan Prodigy's. They are big, but perfect peripheral vision and absolutely FOG-FREE! First pair of Smith, and will buy again.

Best All-Mountain Ski I've used

Salomon Scrambler Hot Pilot Alpine Ski and S912 Ti Binding

Salomon Scrambler Hot Pilot Alpine Ski and S912 Ti Binding

Rating for this product: 5 March 20, 2006

I skied on this last week for four days in Tahoe while it was getting dumped on. From bumpy groomers and trees to the steep and deep, this ski excels on any surface.
