Arc'teryx Accomplice Fleece Jacket - Men's

Arc'teryx Accomplice Fleece Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 August 20, 2009

Jacket represents Arc quality construction. A fleece jacket with some wind protection yet breathable. It has a smooth outer surface so makes layering easy. The color catcus may be too loud for some and the grey too dull for others. The pockets have perforated interiors that provide some ventilation for active pursuits but not for warming your hands when standing around.

Gregory Baltoro 70 Backpack - 4149-4638cu in

June 14, 2009

Thanks Brian. I tried Baltoro on - 30 lbs was easy & 50 lbs was heavy. Seems easier on shoulders than Osprey Aether (but didnt adjust back straps) but Aether seems more firmly attached to my back & didnt swing like the Baltoro when turning. Unlike Aether, Baltoro doesnt have tab to attach camelback in sleeve and doesnt have straps or loops on shoulder to attach camelback tube, whistle or anything else. How do those two compare to you.

MSR Reactor Stove

June 14, 2009

Thanks Jason for your significant insight. Reactor seems technically better but dont like that only works with its pot. Being more specifically I like convenience and ease and would like to use for short backpacking trips(not winter) and camping with girlfriend. Which system (of all) do u recommend.

Arc'teryx Bora 65 Backpack – 3720-4330cu in

June 11, 2009

Looking for the Experts to compare the Bora 65 with the Baltoro 70. I weigh about l45 lbs and expect to carry about 45 lbs. So, comfort carrying a relatively heavy load by a slender person is the primary issue. Thanks.

Arc'teryx Scorpion Ski Jacket - Men's

March 13, 2009

BeeCee:Jon Web suggested i ask you. I am for looking a jacket for spring/fall general use and warmth somewhere between my Fission AR and my Sigma AR. I was leaning toward Scorpion over Venta SV because it sounded warmer but didnt know. Now wondering whether Fission LT Hoody or Kappa SV or other would be better (warmer). Your thoughts. Thanks, Steve

Mountain Hardwear Alchemy Softshell Jacket - Men's

March 12, 2009

Jon. Last questions. Compare Scorpion with Venta SV ignoring the snow skirt. Scorpion has thick Gore soft shell with some minor fleece, would it be warmer. What is the length of both jackets and are the hand pockets in Venta perforated on the inside? Thanks.

Mountain Hardwear Alchemy Softshell Jacket - Men's

March 12, 2009

Jon. Thanks a lot. I already have an old Sigma Ar. It is a medium and a little loose and not that warm and has perforated hand pockets which don't like. I tried Alchemy medium which is snug and seems warm. However, I thought would like to get hood on next jacket and stick with Arcteryx. Would like to have one go to jacket for general use for fall/spring time. What jacket would u recommend? Thanks. Steve

Taylor. Thanks for your insight. I am learning a lot. Why would u go for the Venta SV? Is it because of the taped seams and why are they important?
