I drink coffee and wonder alot. Mountain biking is my main sauce, I build trail too. When it snows I telemark ski inbounds and backcountry. I also enjoy lightweight backpacking, peak bagging and exploring. And I take my dog Jake EVERYWHERE.

great lil pack

Deuter Futura 32 Backpack - 1950cu in

Deuter Futura 32 Backpack - 1950cu in

Rating for this product: 5 May 28, 2011

I purchased a futura 32 about 5 years ago and have used it for everything. It looks like they changed afew little things but its still the same pack. The only issue I've had is the top pocket zipper, I guess after so much use and filling that top pocket too full I wore out the zipper. It still zips most of the time but i don't trust it, and check it regularly. This pack is tough, I've used it for overnighters, bike trips, backcountry skiing (holds skis pretty good) and just as a day pack. The straps make it very comfortable until you get to the 40+ pound range, but like i said about the zipper, thats pushing the limits of this pack. I haven't used the built in rain fly more than a dozen times in the years of use but it is a really slick, cool feature. Mine has had so much use the red has faded to a pinkish color but I still love it.
