In the past I'd take a much larger pack, but if I can do it in a day or if we are going to summit without most of our gear, I'll just take this little friend up. It easily fits several water bottles, food, first aid kit, etc.

It's also nice to be able to rotate from the over-the-shoulder sling to the waist belt.

Nice light, but really no where near the power of the Apollo. It is great for personal use, but doesn't really light up the table at the campground very well.

Love the pack. Very versatile. I typically wear over the shoulder, but I love the stability when I strap it around my waist. Lots of room.

Fit well and liked the style. I had the toe peel a bit, but I used superglue and fixed it pretty easily. I bought the black & grey originally, now I bought the black pair and they haven't had the peeling issue after a month, so I'm pretty happy.

Very nice glove. I'm typically not an XL, I'm almost always a L so you may consider going a size larger than you normally do. I returned them for the XL and I've been happy ever since.

If size doesn't matter (meaning you can haul anything and you don't have to carry it up the trail), this little friend is amazing. I've bought 3 total and I've been extremely happy. We recently used them running the Epic Relay from Cache Valley to Jackson Hole. Very nice to throw down on any surface and be comfortable.

We slept with our 1 year old in between us and used this pad. Worked great. Perfect for young families!

I'm not one to prepare for things much in advance, so it's nice to be able to charge things on the way to the trailhead. This is a must for my car! Works great, plug into the Orbit Lantern or the Apollo Lantern and your good to go!

I screwed up. Not paying attention again (ADHD) and I bought the wrong charger for the Orbit. I needed the NRG2, not the NRG. The NRG is for the Apollo, the NRG2 is for the Orbit.

Rather than sending this little charger back, I decided to purchase an Apollo since I really liked the Orbit and thought, bigger may be more impressive. I was right, the Apollo rules! Orbit is pretty cool too! For light trips I take the Orbit, for car-camping or where I'm not worried about the weight, the Apollo is really nice to have.

Anyway, learn from my mistakes Orbit = NRG2 charger!

It's much smaller than it looks in the photo above, but it does give off some good light. I've charged it a couple times now and it seems to loose charge faster in colder weather. I made the mistake the first time of getting the wrong rechargeable battery. This one takes the NRG2 battery, not the NRG. Also takes batteries and seems to last a pretty long time. I'd buy it again!

I'm typically a large in TNF tee-shirts, but the collared / button-down shirts seem to be pretty big on me. Backcountry is pretty easy to exchange sizes with, so that's a positive.

I've had a terrible time with therm-a-rest pads. I can't seem to keep them inflated after a couple camp outs. I haven't tried the repair kit. I'll give it a shot, but I think the leak may be at the valve? I've held it underwater and haven't seen air coming from a hole. I hope others are having better luck with this than I am.

Nice rack. Hopefully now I won't drive my bike into the garage again. Seems very sturdy and the straps seem to do a good job holding the bikes in place. Does the job!

Just an update: I took a couple bikes on a long drive. The road bikes were fine, but the heaver mountain bikes would have the tendency to come out of the cradle. Just an FYI. Maybe I was driving too fast?

I liked it so much that I bought it again! I let my brother-in-law wear my jacket and he leaned against a fireplace and it melted the fleece. When I saw it again on Backcountry.com I remembered how much I liked it and purchased it again!

It can fit two pair of skis with dynafit bindings.

Definitely better than prior versions. Very light, comfortable. The batteries seem to last much longer in this version. Black Diamond makes the best headlamps. I've had petzl and others, but BD is superior!

They seem to be pretty durable. The tighter they are, the more they tend to break at the seams (I know that's pretty obvious), but this is the second pair I've had and getting the right size seems to be pretty important. There's nothing wrong with them being a bit loose.

The poles are pretty sturdy, but the elastic that holds the poles together isn't very durable. Upon our 5th or 6th use the elastic broke while we were putting it up.

My wife loves it because it keeps the little kids protected from the sun.

I thought they'd be a bit more water resistant. Also, the bottom isn't really wide enough to fit over my ski boots. But great for hiking boots. They are extremely comfortable however and get the job done.

Bought these on clearance because the price was too good to pass up. I really like them. LaSportiva does a great job! I particularly like the sticky rubber. I climbed a 5.8 in them a couple months ago and the rubber was great, no need for the climbing shoes (at least for 5.8). Pretty comfortable. I probably would have paid full price if I would have known how much I grew to like them.

We've use this pack on long hikes and the kids seem to love it. I also put my 2.5 year old (32 lbs) in it to mow the lawn. It's comfortable for me and seems to balance the weight well. It must be comfortable for our 2.5 year old as well, because he falls asleep in it all the time. It folds up, but not very compact. We're glad we bought it!

What's nice is it fits your skis very well (lots of options). Typically the skis in my other packs tend to be loose or slide around. This pack is much more solid. I use it for touring, works well. Enjoy!

I've bought a couple pairs of these. I like them, but somehow either me or one of my buddies breaks the lower shaft. Good thing these are replaceable! I keep buying them because they are good bang for your buck.

I have these on one pair, the comfort version on another pair and love them. Best binding in the world, extremely light and still gives you a good locked-in solid feel for the downhill. I can't believe I use to tour in anything else.

I use the F1 for serious tours and rando races. Very light, comfortable, etc. I sometimes have a hard time getting the boot to lock into downhill mode. I'm hoping that once I break them in a bit more, it will become less difficult. I also had the tongue pop out of the holder, but found it pretty easy to get back in place. I prefer the Scarpa Spirit 4 for day to day skiing when I'm less weight conscious, but overall the F1 is a great boot!

I'm glad other people are liking this shoe. I've had problems with it. The front portion of the sole has come off of both shoes (within 2-3 months of use). I tried to glue it back, but that didn't fix it for very long. I like how sturdy the shoe feels while running, especially around the heal, I just hope the sole doesn't come completely off the front.

I agree with most of the other reviewers, very nice shoe. Extremely light, yet solid when running on trails. I've had them a couple weeks and they seem to be very well designed and breathable. Not the most attractive shoe, but you aren't wearing them for fashion (actually the grey ones aren't bad).

The cushion heal section (with the exposed stacking balls) separated top from bottom and now squeaks when wet. Extremely annoying (have to crank the ipod up to not hear it). Other than that, they are pretty good running shoes.

I bought this watch a couple years ago. I was wearing it playing softball one day and a guy slid into my arm with his cleats while I was trying to tag him out. Broke the part where the band mounts to the body. I sent it back to Suunto and they sent me a new one within a couple weeks. Great customer service.

The watch has been bomb proof. The calibration of the barometer is a bit complicated, but calibrating the altimeter is easy. The digital compass is a great feature.

Had a great time testing these skis. It was right after I had bought a pair of something else, so I didn't have the cash to pull the trigger on these friendly friends, but I remember having amazing turning control, especially important since I'm no expert on the slopes. I'd recommend these after my 1-day trial period, 4 1/2 stars!

I got these poles to compete in the Wasatch Black Diamond PowderKeg race, but have now been using them in place of my regular poles. They are great!

I ordered a medium which is the typical size I wear in North Face Jackets, but this one seemed really big.
