Darn Tough makes the better sock. Better fit=superior fit inside boots, less blisters. Finer gauge yarn/fine gauge machines= more stitches per inch, better wicking, better cushioning, far more durable. The lifetime warranty is the kicker. It is an unconditional satisfaction lifetime guarantee. Plus made in Vermont

Mammut Jasper Zip Pullover Jacket - Men's

Very nice pullover. I use this mountain biking when its cool out. Front is very wind resistant and still really breathable. Back fabric is super breathable. Will be a great Alpine Climbing piece. Where it as an outlayer or mid layer under another soft shell or hardshell or insulator. Nice cut,not too tight not too loose. Went for the red its is sharp!

Shoulders have a reinforced fabric, still light but Shoulder straps would not be a problem on either of the fabrics on this jacket. Really great piece.

Mammut Pulse Barryvox Avalanche Beacon

It should, unless there is stock form last year, I beleive all of the units Backcountry.com has are the new ones. The units can be updated at Mammut USA or several shops around the country that offer the update and have the wireless hardware to do the update. Worth getting the upgrade but the older softwear are fully compatible with the new v3.0 and every other 457 frequency beacon.

Mammut Pulse Barryvox Avalanche Beacon

The unit uses the international standard frequency. This beacon will work with any other 457 beacons in EU or USA or anywhere doesn't matter where. What you've heard about a different frequency pertains only to the Pulse feature (sensitive motion sensor) which can detect respiration of a victim. This feature uses a different frequency in Europe than the US due to FAA regulations. The units settings can be changed by the user if you buy it in the US and travel to Europe lets say. Again, this beacon will work everywhere.

Love the Monolith GTX. Made by Mammut but used to be Raichle. Super high quality and great fitting. Fits medium width and locker heel fit. LIke the lacing, supportive and you can easily isolate the upper part from the lower partfor a perfect feel hiking in these and allowing the ankle to flex without having your foot slip around in the lower boot. Pretty darn light also.

Mammut Monolith GTX Boot - Men's

These are insulated with GoreTex's Duratherm insulation/membrane/wicking liner. They don't really give them a tempurature but these are great for lower 48 mountaineering boot and also would be acceptible for winter day ice climbing. The insulation is equivalent to 200G Thinsulate.

Raichle was bought by Mammut a few years ago and this spring they changed the branding on the boots to Mammut. Still the same top quality and fit as the Raichle boots. Still made in EU. Killer boot that fits great. locker heel fit and supportive but still flexes in the right spot. All this equals no blisters and a long lasting boot.
