I'm not affiliated in any way with the Patagonia company. I like Patagonia products but am honest in my appraisal of their stuff. If it's no good, i'll tell you so. I have more reviews and info about Patagonia products at http://patagoniacommunity.blogspot.com/

Patagonia Talus Softshell Jacket - Men's
November 23, 2010
Hey Kris,
I've owned both. I got the Guide Jacket first but soon returned it because it was too thin and breezy; cold air went right through. If you're using it for athletic endeavors, then it would be a nice, breathable choice. I needed something warmer, got the Talus and have been very happy with it. It's noticeably thicker than the Guide and the warmer interior keeps that cooler air from freezing me out. As for durability, I've had the Talus for almost a year and while I'm not rock-climbing and using it in horrible conditions, it has held up well. Of course there's a price bump with the Talus so if you don't mind that, then it may just be what you're looking for. Best wishes.

Patagonia Synchilla Snap-T Fleece Pullover - Men's
August 8, 2010
I would try calling one of the Patagonia Outlet stores. You can find their numbers here: http://www.patagonia.com/web/us/store-locator
Also, Real Cheap Sports in Ventura, CA has a good selection of past-season goods. They will take phone orders and ship to you. I know it's tough when you find a color you like and you don't know if the company will ever make it again (though Patagonia often does similar colors with different names!). Hope this helps! Patagonia Classic Retro-X Jacket - Men's
November 18, 2009
While that specific color is not currently being made, Patagonia does still make the Retro X and releases new colorways every season and something similar is bound to come along. I think the company is aware of the desire for some of their old-school colors and while they are making items in colors that are friendly to the mass market (read: neutral), they will sometimes offer other options.

Patagonia Down Jacket - Men's
February 13, 2009
probably pushing too warm at those tempsPatagoniaCommunity: I just wore mine tonight to the grocery store with a Capilene 3 zip-neck underneath. It actually was 40 degrees out and the jacket was great. I was just walking (no aerobic activity), but I definitely didn't get too hot. I think anything warmer than 45 or so and you might want to think about something lighter like maybe the Patagonia Down Sweater.

Patagonia Prefontaine Full-Zip Sweatshirt - Men's
December 22, 2008
Yeah, this is a pretty thin fabric. It definitely isn't thick sweatshirt material. I'd say it's like a heavier jersey material, but again, don't expect college-sweatshirt type of cotton. But it's a great design that is gimmick-free.
