great lightweight hat

SmartWool Training Beanie

I was looking for a lightweight hat for XC skiing and this fits the bill without being too pricey. It breathes well yet blocks more wind than a fleece hat. Covers my ears and even fits under a bike helmet. Easy to stuff in a pocket.

A little bit of everything

Rossignol BC 70 AR Nordic Ski

Rossignol BC 70 AR Nordic Ski

Rating for this product: 5 February 13, 2006

I bought these skis last spring and wished I had done it much earlier! A stable, easy-gliding ski with good grip that can go anywhere. I often ski Colorado hiking trails or unplowed dirt roads and these skis make it easy. Good control on downhill, too, with a supportive boot. The metal edges and width hang up a bit in groomed tracks, but I'm still very pleased. These replaced older, stiffer touring skis and I'm amazed at the difference.
