Black Diamond Huey Duffel Bag - 6102-9154 cu in

Rating for this product: 4 August 19, 2008

I used it for a 2 week mountain biking trip. I packed 5 days worth of lounging clothes, 4 days of mtb attire, 2 swimsuits w/outfits, extra bodywear, full face helmet, XC helmet, body armor, shin/knee guards, hydration pack, extra tire, multi-tools and still had more than enough room for 12 lbs of my buddy's stuff cause he couldn't fit all of his stuff in his 2-piece roller bag. I had it stuffed to 50 lbs and it was easy enough to carry with one of the backpack straps (easier for me, since, I am 5'4"). I've also used it for camping. Just had to buy compartments to make organization easy. I flew Jetblue and wasn't charged an oversize fee. Check the the airline site for the oversize dimensions, Jetblue is 62" and over 50lbs.

Bottom line, if you want a huge, versatile duffel, this is it. Tough material, lots of space, lockable zippers, backpack strap and inner mesh pockets. Grey color is easy to spot on the carousel. I only wish it had mesh pockets on both ends, in addition to the two underneath the flap. Also, compression straps inside would be another great detail to add.

Horny Toad Birdie Short - Women's

Horny Toad Birdie Short - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 August 19, 2008

Like the others, go a size smaller and they're perfect. Great for stylin' (got lots of compliments). Forgot my mtb shorts, so I wore them over my lycra with a belt. As it turned out, these shorts are great for riding. I only wish the back pockets were functional. The back pockets are a third of the size of what they should be.

Bought these for a die-hard cotton socks man. He wouldn't admit it, but loves these socks. He's been wearing them every time we take the pups out on the trail.

Salomon XT Wings Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Salomon XT Wings Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 June 2, 2008

Got these with the 20% off coupon, so the price was good. These are my third pair of Salomon trail runners. They fell just as cushy if not more than the XA Pro 3D, light, too. Same roomy toe box, great traction on loose over hardpack, sand and rocky trails. The ability to shove the top of the laces in the top of the tongue is also a neat feature. The only drawback is that the light blue color gets obviously dirty fast. I wish they made it in grey with a light blue accent. I will definitely keep buying Salomon shoes.

Backcountry.com Merino Trail Sock - 3 Pair

Backcountry.com Merino Trail Sock - 3 Pair

Rating for this product: 4 April 14, 2008

I've had these for a few weeks, now. I've worn them for work, trail running and mountain biking. So, far, so good, but I did notice a small hole in one of them. It's matches the SoCal weather this time of year (March/April). I'll have to wait and see if it's too much for our summer temps.

I/O Bio Merino Contact 3/4 Midweight Long Underwear Bottom - Women's

I/O Bio Merino Contact 3/4 Midweight Long Underwear Bottom - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 3, 2008

I've only worn it a handful of times and I have no complaints. I wear it when the weather dips into the 40's. I've worn it under my wool work pants, capris and riding shorts. It doesn't bunch up and so far, hasn't lost elasticity. It's snug without feeling tight and keeps me warm without overheating. The wide waistband is a nice touch and works well with the low waisted pants/capris I wear. As expected, it's wool, so, naturally, it doesn't stink and neither will you.

Salomon XA Pro 3D XCR Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Salomon XA Pro 3D XCR Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 3, 2008

I've had the XA Pro 3D for about a year and love it. That pair took me from the valley to Half Dome and back in a handful of hours without blisters. So, when it got a little cold and wet, I decided to get the XCR version. First off, it was brand new, so I felt the added stiffness in the sole and the rest of the shoe. The added weight is negligible. I went for a 1/2 hour slog over some snow and was pleased that my feet were dry and toasty. My buddy, on the other hand, had popsicles for feet. On cold days, I also noticed that the Goretex membrane blocks wind. I'll definitely stick with the Salomons. These shoes are comfy, perform very well and fit my wide toe box feet.

Backcountry.com The Goat Organic Cotton T-Shirt Short-Sleeve - Women's

Backcountry.com The Goat Organic Cotton T-Shirt Short-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 March 2, 2007

The fit is a little tight around the chest and a little on the long side for shorties like me (5' 4''), but great for tucking in. I got the olive color and the light blue goat goes great with it. Everyone else thinks the goat looks cool and wants to know where it came from. Great casual shirt.

Mountain Hardwear Bonnie Top Long-Sleeve - Women's

Mountain Hardwear Bonnie Top Long-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 2, 2007

This is my first wool performance base layer, so I was skeptical. I've always used synthetics. I wore it on a 3 hour mountain bike ride in cold weather...cold enough to see your breath. I usually get cold fast, but the even with the microfiber weight, I was fairly warm, with the exception of the first part of the downhill. At the end of the ride, the shirt was only slightly damp (the area that covers the back of my sports bra). It's now my favorite long sleeve jersey. I just wish the crew neck was a little larger. It was a tight fit getting my head through and I wear a small in bike helmets. Other than that, the fit is great. I hope Mountain Hardwear will make one with a zip-neck.
