The North Face Smedge Approach Shoe - Men's

No arch support at all. I have several pairs of Keens and Birks. I have what I have always thought was a normal arch, but these felt like walking on wood, with no support in the arch at all. Cool looking shoe and wanted to like them but couldn't make them work for me. If you are a bit flatter footed, this is likely the shoe for you. I went and tried ona bunch of hikers and landed on a Keen again.

Outstanding

Oakley Half Jacket Sunglasses

Oakley Half Jacket Sunglasses

These freakin' shades rock. They are the best I have had. New to Oakley in the past year and very happy. Great lens color, stay on drenched in sweat. Only drawback is when going fast on a bike they don't totally block the wind and I get substantial tearing...not too difficult to handle.

Mountain Hardwear Phantom Jacket - Men's

loving my new phantom. Warm as hell--don't need anything other than a t underneath most of the time. will smush down to the size of a water bottle and weighs nothing--happy to join me on a backcountry foray for that lunch break on the ridge or that unexpected overnighter.....
