Great mountaineering pack

Osprey Packs Exposure 66 Backpack - 4000cu in

Rating for this product: 4 July 31, 2007

I just used this pack for climbing 6 prominent peaks in the NW (81 miles, total of 37000 ft, single-day and multi-day technical climbs). PROS: This light weight pack can easily carry 50 to 60 lbs with the right waist belt. Pack collapses down for day ascents. CONS: No crampon patch/straps. The thermal molded belt that comes with this pack is inadequate for 50+ lbs. I switched to the heavier Bioform belt after the first peak which significantly increased the performance of the pack.
