Black Diamond Shiva Alpine Touring Boot - Women's
September 29, 2009
i would disagree - they will work in a downhill binding but you should get the Alpine sole blocks to make the toe height match the standard for downhill bindings. http://www.backcountry.com/outdoorgear/Black-Diamond-Shiva-A

Tributary Strike 2 Tandem Inflatable Kayak
June 25, 2009
I don't see any repair kits on Backcountry. This boat does come with a repair kit.
If you are looking to repair an Aire or Tributary boat then repairing on the seam shouldn't be too hard. With these two types of boats there is an air bladder that is wrapped in the outer layer of polyurethane material. So the outer layer isn't what holding the air in the boat. You could probably sew the seam back up and use some repair material to cover it an it should hold for you.
If you have another brand of kayak it is substantially more difficult to repair a seam because it has to be air tight. Personally i would try to find a company that specializes in raft repair and pay them to do it. A Google search for whitewater raft repair may get you going in the right direction.

NRS Bandit Inflatable Kayaks
April 17, 2009
Yes you can put foot pegs in this boat. They come attached to 2 "patches" that you glue directly to the boat. I think the NRS website has them.

Black Diamond Verdict Ski
March 19, 2009
i am a women and i ride the exact set up you are asking about. I LOVE these skis but have a hard time making tele turns on them. If she is an aggressive skier and good tele skier (I wasn't when I got on this set up) she will love them. They are a bit heavy but with the free pivot on the 01's it makes the up-track much easier and the ride down is totally worth it.

Black Diamond Stiletto Telemark Ski Boot - Women's
January 30, 2009
Waaaay too stiff. If you're determined to stick with these boots, go for the Black Diamond 02 binding, using probably the Rid Stiff cartridges. Maybe if you're under about 120 pounds go for the Mid Stiff, but even those might not be stiff enough. If, on the other hand, you already have Freeflex O3s and want to get boots to match that level of aggression, go for the Axis or the Trance, or even the Scarpa T2 or T3.I would disagree, I ski these boots on the BD O1 with the free flex and LOVE it (I weigh a lot more then 120lbs and have it mounted on the 07-08 Verdicts). The boot is stiff but the flex of the bellow isn't overly stiff. With the 03 you may be better off with a mid stiff, but if these boots fit you well then try it and it's only something like $40 to get a new set of cartridges if you want something more active.

Patagonia Footwear Lugano Waterproof Boot - Women's
December 26, 2008
Nope, they're coated to prevent that.I have these boots and have not had any stains on them from rain and snow, but they have gotten marked up from my dark wash jeans. I haven't tried to clean the dark blue stains off them, but just giving you the heads up. Other than that I love these boots. - i have the Khaki color - SMS24

Backcountry Access Stash Rider Backpack - 976cu in
November 3, 2008
It's not actually designed for skis, but you can strap them in vertically with the snowboard straps (that big black buckle in the photo). That works fine for carrying them. In that case, they'd be attached vertically, flat up your back.Or if you want ski specific and don't need a snowboard carry check out http://www.backcountry.com/store/BCA0066 , it is the same pack without the snowboard carry straps. The Stash pack I linked to has a diagonal ski carry (with the skis bases together). - SMS24

Backcountry Access Stash Pack - 976cu in
September 23, 2008
get the stash if you are carrying skis. they are basically the same pack except for the stash has a ski carrier and the stash rider has a snowboard carrier. You will have a very hard time carrying skis with the stash rider.

Giro 2008 Fuse Helmet
April 3, 2008
i believe it has a system in which you can have all, half or none of the vents open. 6 of the vents have the foam vent plugs (they are connected into 2 pieces) and the rest get covered by plastic when you slide the switch. Take a look at the 6th and 7th pictures to get a better idea. - SMS24
