  • Bio:

I love being outside...and I'll do anything once I'm there. Skiing is my favorite...and TOAS is my "home" mountain...it is simply the best. But, I also enjoy anywhere in Colorado, who wouldn't? Recently picked up mountain biking, again, and hope to continue. I extremely enjoy camping due to the fact that I'm an Eagle Scout and have spent countless nights under the stars.

I want to be a "Backcountry.com Sponsored Athlete," how sweet would that be?

Backcountry.com Limited Edition Not-Cotton Goat T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 July 21, 2008

This is my second "not cotton" t-shirt that I've bought. I enjoyed my first one so much that i just had to get this one...although, the light blue is a little girly, but my gf loves it. Very soft, dries quick, and a chance to sport the Goat...awesome.

Nice shirt

Mountain Hardwear Thermadry Zip Tee Long-Sleeve - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Thermadry Zip Tee Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 February 7, 2008

I wore this shirt skiing a couple of weeks ago and it served as a perfect base layer (it was all I wore under my jacket). The smart placement of the seams kept me from chaffing. It was hovering over 0 degrees for much of the skiing and I still felt like this provided enough warmth..and it's extremely comfortable. Only problem was that I had read it was good for keeping odors out...and I don't think it provided that protection (could have just been me though, I was workin it out there :) )

Kept Me WARM

Mountain Hardwear Thermadry Tights - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Thermadry Tights - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 February 7, 2008

These pants provided an excellent base under my ski pants on a recent trip. I ordered XL and thought they might be the right size but I probably should have gone with a Large...I'm 6'3 and 205..i was surprised how much larger they were for my frame. But I still kept them and thought they worked just fine.

Okay hat

Oakley Fine Knit Beanie

Oakley Fine Knit Beanie

Rating for this product: 2 February 7, 2008

I love Oakley...but this hat is not the best. It's more of a fashion statement then great gear. It is way too loose on my head and not too warm. But, I still managed to use it and my goggles kept it on my head...i just had to deal with wind breezing into my skull the whole day I wore it skiing.

This is my favorite shirt

Backcountry.com Not Cotton T-Shirt Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 27, 2007

I wear this shirt every night after I get out of the shower...and I've worn it running, and I've worn it biking...i wear it all the time. it is the most comfortable thing...and its very cheap compared to other similar shirts...im thinking about buying 2 more just because I love it so much. Plus, the backcountry logo is perfectly added to make it cool. People want to know what the logo is...I simply say "backcountry.com...its the best site out there...go there, enjoy"

Can't wait to go skiing with this jacket

The North Face Mountain Light Jacket - Men's

The North Face Mountain Light Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 18, 2007

I live in the Texas Panhandle where, surprisingly, it can be 80 degrees one day in December and then 27 the next. This light weight jacket is so versatile and perfect for any condition. This is my first Gore-Tex shell and it has lived up to my expectations. I love the fact that I know I'm protected in any weather. I've used it in the rain and can't wait for my first ski trip this year.Very light Downsides: no pit zips (but it does have front vent pockets that I'm sure will work fine); light on pockets; loud.

returned this jacket

The North Face Denali Hoody Fleece Jacket - Men's

The North Face Denali Hoody Fleece Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 December 18, 2007

I really thought I would like this jacket. I saw the hood and thought that would work for me. But, the hood is so bulky I had to return it because I got this jacket to also zip into my next TNF mountain light jacket. When I did that it was just too much for a zip in. Otherwise, it would be a perfect addition if just wearing as a jacket. I returned it and just settled for the original Denali.
