...STILL NOT WIDE ENOUGH

Naxo Ski Crampon

Naxo Ski Crampon

Rating for this product: 5 February 13, 2006

The crampon is a good idea, but it's just not wide enough for the width of skis coming out in years to come. I purchased the fastest crampon (105mm) and attempted to fit them to a Volkl Sanouk. I had to do some serious bending to alter the crampon and make it fit around a Sanouk (112mm under foot). I don't recommend bending the crampons out any further because they're bit in the snow will be slightly less effective. Other than that, the crampons do their job, except when climbing in the steepest position, only the front teeth bite the snow.
