Skullcandy Smokin' Buds Headphones

Rating for this product: 4 October 17, 2010

not a bad bud, the cord is super long often getting caught and ripping the buds out of your ears. had a problem with a short in the cord and skullcandy replace them for free which was sweet. buy them on sac and enjoy them for about a year, good bud, cheap price.

Garmont Xena Thermo AT Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 17, 2010

My girlfriend rocks these for both resort and touring. With a flex of 120 it is stiff enough to drive goats with dukes on them yet comfortable to spend the day in the backcountry. The double lean angle (20 and 25) allows for a comfortable and customizable fit. great boot from a great company.

Therm-a-Rest Z Lite Sleeping Pad

Therm-a-Rest Z Lite Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 5 October 17, 2010

if you are going lite this is the sleeping pad to use. it is not the most comfortable but adds some much needed padding between you and the ground. multiple uses and wont puncture. pad also works great for taking a seat for lunch or just resting, and then you can be on your way with just a simple fold up.

Volkl Gotama Ski

Volkl Gotama Ski

Rating for this product: 5 October 16, 2010

my girlfriend rides the 170's (5'4" 120) and loves them. mounted +1cm and she can rip powder to groomers all over the mountain. with the rocker tip and tail they ski a shorter than what they are. mounted them with last years dukes (which look sick with the new goat graphics) and they can really be a quiver of one.

Jetboil Flash Personal Cooking System

Rating for this product: 5 October 16, 2010

wait for it... wait for it... and water is boiling. super easy to use and works like a charm. the new tripod makes it a little more stable and the neoprene holder that changes color when boiling is nice so you don't have to stand over the top of it to tell when your water is ready. super light and a kick *ss backpacking stove.

the watts

Black Diamond Megawatt Ski

Rating for this product: 5 October 16, 2010

mounted them +3cm to make the more agile in the trees and varied terrain. almost feels like cheating when it's deep, feels like you are on a mini trampoline bouncing in the deep powder. buy these for when its deep and ski them all day even when the resort gets chewed up.

kestrel 68

Osprey Packs Kestrel 68 Backpack - 4000-4200cu in

Rating for this product: 5 June 6, 2010

i have owned the kestrel 48 for the past 3 years and love it, ended up giving it to my girlfriend so i upgraded to the 68. this pack is everything i loved about the 48 but with just more room.

the hipbelt pockets are large enough to hold camera/bars/knife without a problem. the outside hydration pocket works great and the built in rain cover is a must. just recently took this pack 5 days through zion and loved every minute of it. the adjustable torso really allows for almost a custom fit.

Therm-a-Rest Prolite Plus Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 5 March 11, 2010

originally had a therm-a-rest z-lite which is great for light weight travel, but after a week and a half on it my hips could no longer take it. enter the prolite plus. this mat is super comfortable and warm. with this mat i no longer dread waking in the middle of the night and not getting comforatable enough to go back to sleep.

Black Diamond Telekneesis Kneepad

Black Diamond Telekneesis Kneepad

Rating for this product: 5 January 16, 2010

purchased these pads because they have been so highly reccomended. currently they have been nothing short of perfect. as an apline skier, i have never worn kneepads but after hitting a rock early season with my knee as the stopping point, i felt it was time to pull the trigger.

other than the first five minutes i wore them i no longer notice them on. i have even toured with them on, they are great for digging pits and for the occasional moonwalk that occurs while skinning. if you are going to be wearing a helmet, you should also get a pair of these pads.

sts skins

Black Diamond Ascension Nylon STS Skins

Black Diamond Ascension Nylon STS Skins

Rating for this product: 5 January 16, 2010

have used this skin about a dozen times this season in the wasatch and it is super solid. just be careful about taking your skins on and off, the glue is really sticky and it is very easy to catch debris (if this occurs a little cold water and rubbing should remove most anything).

the skin sticks to the ski very well, and climbs excellent. so far no problems and as long as the glue is looked after should last awhile.

Marker Duke 16 Ski Binding

Marker Duke 16 Ski Binding

Rating for this product: 5 December 21, 2009

i have just starting touring this year and was at a toss up between fritschi and the dukes. the simplest explanation i have heard so far is that if you are mainly a resort skier that will tour get the dukes. so far the binding as been super easy to use and tour with, haven't noticed the extra weight since i have never been on another touring binding, but as long as your not a minimalist you might not notice either way.

have a pair mounted on bluehouse districts and the new goat, bomber binding and dont expect any troubles with them. as a side note last years color of the duke and the new gotamas are sick.

Thule Revolver Hitch Bike Carrier - 4 Bike-DO NOT USE

Thule Revolver Hitch Bike Carrier - 4 Bike-DO NOT USE

Rating for this product: 4 August 21, 2009

fits four bikes, but takes some adjusting to get it right. i can carry 2 mountain and 2 road bikes (extremely tight fit and will leave marks on bikes). extremely convenient with the swing away arm.

however be careful of the bike lock cable, if not fully secure it will drag when the rack is in the down position. additional cable is not cheap if it needs to be replaced.
