Arc'teryx Gamma SV Jacket - Women's

Arc'teryx Gamma SV Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 12, 2007

I've had this jacket for a month now and am really loving it. I also own the Gamma MX - so I can give a comparison. The SV is slightly thicker (probably the fleece) than the MX. Both block wind and insulate well. The SV only has two pockets and they're located higher up. If you like to walk/stand with your hands in your pockets, you would be better off buying the MX. The location of pockets is the biggest difference between the two. Both are well tailored with a flattering cut. I am 5'6", 130 lbs, and am a C/D cup - the medium fits me perfectly. The small is snug across the chest. The quality of these soft shells is far superior to anything else. I also bought the vest - look for my review on that.

Finally a useful, fitted vest!

Arc'teryx Gamma SV Vest - Women's

Arc'teryx Gamma SV Vest - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 April 12, 2007

I own two Arc'teryx jackets in addition to the vest. The vest is truly worth the money. It insulates very well, is tailored, well designed and simple. Like the jackets, the vest is slightly longer in the back than it is in the front. It hits me at about the mid point of my bottom. I am 5'6", 130 lbs and a C/D cup. I wear a medium. Someone else wrote that they were a similar size and that a small fit them well. I listened to their review, ordered the small and couldn't do the zipper up (it was way too tight) - I had to reorder the vest in a medium. It is not snug and it is not over-sized. It fits perfectly.

Spyder Zen Insulator Jacket - Women's

Spyder Zen Insulator Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 April 12, 2007

I bought this jacket because a good insulated jacket is always handy. This is lightly insulated, so if you're looking for a jacket to keep you warm, this probably isn't it. It blocks the wind pretty well and has a nylon inner lining. A fleece lining would have been more comfortable. The jacket feels a bit crunchy, not soft to put on and off. It isn't stiff, it's just the lack of fleece anywhere makes it crunchy. I have a Marmot insulated jacket and it has fleece on the collar and inside of the coat. It doesn't feel crunchy. The jacket is tailored and well made. I have received a lot of complements on it.

Ogio - good product for travel

OGIO Terminal Rolling Gear Bag - 5800cu in

OGIO Terminal Rolling Gear Bag - 5800cu in

Rating for this product: 4 August 17, 2006

Just returned from a 3 week trip to Europe with my 11 year old daughter. I bought 2 of these bags. I really like the interior layout of the bags. All 3 compartments have a mesh zip cover to separate clothes. This is great for keeping dirty clothes away from clean clothes. There is also one very large external pocket that is useful for shoes, ditry laundry, etc. The bags are very durable, wheels are tough and there are handles everywhere making it easy to get in/out of a car. The pullout handle is very strong. Complaints: These bags tip over very easily. Ogio could have put bumpers, or legs, on the bottom opposite the wheels to make it balance better. This is annoying and happened more frequently as we acquired heavy items on our trip. The stitching on both bags is durable and excellent, although on one bag one handle is coming away from the bag. I think this is an anomily and I'm sure Ogio will fix it.
