Yeah, the thermal lens is glued to the foam in between both lenses, so these replacements have the thermal lens too. I wish I could get just a replacement thermal lens - so much cheaper than the whole thing.

I use my HI Ambers about 75% of the time. On the brightest bluebird days I use a fire lens and on dark, stormy days I use a HI yellow lens.

I have a medium and use it for a carry-on all the time - just don't fill it all the way and you're fine. FWIW, I use it for ski trips - I keep my boots + 2 days of base layers/gloves/pants with plenty of room to keep to carry on size restrictions.

No snaps, but loops to put the chinstrap through - just like the stock pads on an 08/09 G10.
