Great Sock

Patagonia Lightweight Everyday Sock

Patagonia Lightweight Everyday Sock

Rating for this product: 5 December 29, 2008

I bought these for everyday use. I had the Light Hiking sock from Patagonia, but they are a bit thick for everyday use and run a bit tight. These are much more comfy for daily use. I don't have an issue with these being tight (I ordered M's) and I have big calves from cycling lots.

Better than Smartwool

Patagonia Lightweight Hiking Crew Sock

Patagonia Lightweight Hiking Crew Sock

Rating for this product: 4 November 28, 2008

These are great socks and are more comfortable for long wear than a similar pair I have by SW. I bought 3 more pair after the first. These may be a bit heavy for everyday, indoor use. For that, I would go with Patagonia's Everyday sock. I bought some of these as well. The socks stay warm, even when wet and seem pretty durable so far. They do shrink a bit on washing but you can stretch them back out by hand. Worth the cost.

Getting back in the swing

Metolius Slim Gym CNC Training Board

Metolius Slim Gym CNC Training Board

Rating for this product: 5 November 28, 2008

I bought this board to get back in climbing shape after a few years off. Didn't want to show up at a climb and be useless after a flash. This board fit the bill. It is grippy without tearing up my hands, and for a small board, offers a good number of holds. A 10-peat a day and in one week I was ready for rock. Great buy.

Comfy, but durability?

Lafuma RSX XL Batyline Camp Chair

Lafuma RSX XL Batyline Camp Chair

Rating for this product: 4 November 8, 2008

Great comfortable chair. I bought these for chillin' in the back yard on days off of playing. My only complaint is the wood on the arms started looking rough from the get go. Sand the arms as soon as you get yours and put some stain on them. Also, rust has been showing up in all the joints and bolt holes. Obviously these chairs are not meant to stay outside.

DAKINE Split Convertible Rolling Gear Bag - 6425cu in.

Rating for this product: 4 November 8, 2008

These are great bags. My brother-in-law had one and I copied. The good thing is, when I travel with my wife, we can pack in one bag. She gets one side (OK, one and a half) and I get the other. Then we just have one check and a carryon each.

New Favorite

Patagonia Pima Cotton Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Patagonia Pima Cotton Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 8, 2008

My new favorite shirt. I already had one and bought another so I don't have to do laundry every night :-). Fits great, true to size and is comfortable in a broad range of temperatures. My only complaint, it wrinkles a bit in the wash and so requires a very brief ironing to look presentable. If you don't own an iron, buy the Patagonia Buckshot Flannel instead.
