Bio:
My recreation is camping in mountainous areas. I'm not adventurous. I don't take chances knowingly, and I don't like complicated things. Keep it light and simple.

Western Mountaineering Puma Gore WS Sleeping Bag: -25 Degree Down
December 17, 2010
I think the waterproof shell is worth the extra weight. When it's cold, moisture mixed with down is not your friend. There are too many opportunities to get moisture on the bag when it's cold due to condensation in the tent, etc. I'd hate to be camped out in -20 degrees and wish I'd spent a little more money. I own the GWS, and it's really good.

GoLite Valhalla 4 Shelter 4-Person 4-Season
November 6, 2009
The Valhalla has the ability to close openings so that snow does not get in if drifting. The Xanadu openings are covered by nylon mesh but open to air. The Valhalla works if you are not in windy flying snow and is really well ventilated, otherwise go with the Valhalla.

Mountain Hardwear EV 2 Tent 2-Person 4-Season
July 25, 2009
Mountain hardwear is sealed at the factory. Bibler requires an exterior seam seal (provided with tent) after purchase. Bibler has several 2 person tents: Tempest, I-tent, Eldorado, Ahwahee, Fitzroy (3 person rated), that are 4 season rated. Best to check out which Bibler you like. Caution, the Mountain hardwear EV2 tent is not 48" wide for its entire length. It is 82" x 48" and then it necks down to 35" wide between 82" and 105". 48" wide is a tight squeeze for 2 people, but the interior space is great for storage. Bibler Eldorado is 87" x 51" for an extra 3" of width for 2 people. As far as I know both brands are great depending on what you want.

Big Agnes King Solomon Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Down
March 25, 2008
How would use coupler straps when the bag comes with two separate sleeves for the two 72"x20" pads it takes? Not sure you should have coupler straps in your description.
